UPDATE - SOLD!

I’m regretfully selling this car after 9 years of love. My son is almost 2 years old and I rarely have a chance to drive it anymore. The farthest it went this year was to have it professionally ceramic coated about a half hour away :( . I’ve owned the car since June 2011. When I bought the car, it was completely stock with about 22k miles.

I’ve done a number of upgrades over the years, the most notable being the 2.9L Whipple Crusher Supercharger and full supporting mods to go with it: including a Lethal Performance 850 Return Fuel System, 80lb Fuel Injectors, 1-3/4” Kooks Longtube Headers and X-Pipe, and Magnaflow Catback and a custom tune. I added an AFCO Double Pass Heat Exchanger too. At a 15% drivetrain loss, it puts out 770 horsepower.

The transmission has been upgraded: I sent the transmission to Tick Performance for a complete “Level 2 Upgrade”. It has a MGW Orange Shifter, McLeod RXT Street Twin-Disc clutch and McLeod Billet Aluminum flywheel (custom balanced), 26 spline input shaft, FRPP Throw-out bearing, and McLeod TOB Retainer Tube. More info on the Tick Level 2 Upgrade: Tick Performance Level 2 Upgraded T56 Rebuild (600RWTQ) for 03-04 Cobra

The brakes are Slotted Rotors from Rotorpros with Hawk HPS Pads and the Maximum Motorsports stainless steel brake hose kit for front and rear.

Tightened up the suspension with H&R Race Springs, Maximum Motorsports CC Plates and Full Length Subframe Connectors. It has 18x9 and 18x10 Staggered Chrome Replica Wheels on 3/8” hubcentric wheel spacers and low profile IRS bolts, with Toyo Proxes R888s all around. The rear fenders were rolled as well.

Other Mods: IRS Brace, Sequential Taillights, also has a Dual AeroForce Interceptor gauge pod with wideband air/fuel sensor kit, and Ford Performance Starter.

The Whipple was added in 2012 and has roughly 10k miles on it.

The overall condition of the car is a 9/10. There are some rock chips on the front, consistent with 17 years of life and 35k miles. The rims are immaculate. There was one scratch on the car when I bought it near the fuel cap (see pic) and I never had it fixed. Also, the 3rd brake light has a vertical crack (see pic)--apparently this car isn’t the only one with that. The a/c has a very slow leak, but I never looked more into it as I always had the top down—if it wasn’t convertible weather, the car didn’t move (it rarely saw cloudy days let alone rain). Always heated garage kept in winter.

For those who are emissions concerned, the long tubes have a bung for an EGR which is capped, but the Whipple doesn’t have an inlet on it, so there is no EGR. The car will pass emissions in Illinois (stringent Cook County) through a second tune.

As you can see from all the mods, I took great pride in the car and never pinched pennies with any upgrades. I’ll be sad to see it go, but this car begs to be driven! It pulls hard, sounds awesome, and gets tons of compliments.

Price $29,000. Reasonable offers accepted. Located in Orland Park, IL 60467 (southwest suburbs of Chicago).

"At a 15% drivetrain loss, it puts out 770 horsepower." psh who advertises flywheel hp?!

But seriously, don't do it - you'll regret it. Or do it, and if so, GLWS. Hope you get another Mustang.

Here's a video of a cold start (after sitting for a month) and a couple quick revs. Sorry for the neighbor's hammer noise in the background at times.

This one's only listed for $1000 more with about $20k in mods.
True, quite a bit of interest in yours, figured it would sell then leave all these other guys looking for one. Wasn't trying to steer them away, was trying to assist all these people looking for one.
