This is the upcoming Ford F-150 EV, providing a first look at the (production-intent) electric pickup.

Though clad in a substantial amount of camouflage, the familiar shape of the 14th-generation F-150 can still be seen. The prototype features a SuperCrew cabin along with a short bed.

Despite the vehicle’s camo having a cutout for what would be a fuel door, there are no visible elements of an exhaust system. But there is a rather substantial electric motor at the rear axle, some interesting throwing-star rims, and we’re told the Frida Kahlo-inspired light over the grille will make it to production.

Range is expected to come in at least 300 miles, although it is rumored that if demand is great enough, there may be an extended-range battery that could be added to the truck.

Production is slated to start in mid-2022 at Ford’s Rouge Truck plant in Dearborn, Michigan. It should be in showrooms shortly after, more than likely beating Rivian (delays) and Tesla (no running prototypes and have yet to bring the roadster/semi to market) to the marketplace.

Countries keep bumping up their all EV/no ice deadlines and the manufacturers are responding, they have no choice. Watch the green new deal legislation, dollars to donuts, they set 2030 as the drop dead date for ICE.

Just saw this has an independent rear instead of solid axle. All I can say is good luck with that. Increased cost, complexity and less longevity for ride comfort I assume?

It's like I have ESP or something.

Democrats push Biden to set electric vehicle targets
  • Democrats in Washington are pushing President Biden to set stricter emission rules.
  • A group of more than 70 U.S. House Democrats want Biden to set tough emissions rules that ensure 60% of the new passenger cars and trucks being sold in the U.S. are zero-emission by 2030, while 10 U.S. senators are asking Biden to set a target date by which new sales of gas-powered vehicles will end entirely.
  • The issue has taken on less importance this year after the major electrification pushes this year by auto majors like General Motors (GM +0.4%), Ford (F +0.4%) and Volkswagen (OTCPK:VLKAF -6.9%). In January, GM said it would be all-electric by 2035.

Tried the new MACH E. Supposed to have 280 range. Up North, cold weather, full charge 138 range. Pathetic POS Electric vehicles are useless! They have there place, yes, but not for daily drivers.
The big DEM push for this is only because those representatives pushing for this want to line their pockets and have big investments in electric vehicles and such. All crooks looking out for themselves. They really don't give a shit about the environment because we all know how toxic batteries truly are.

The left wants haves VS have nots. Only the rich will be able to afford personal transportation as it gets more and more expensive with the rest of us having to resort to shit public transportation or ridesharing like a bunch of ****ing peasants.

The left hates the freedoms and luxuries our country has had over the last century.
