Just register. Here's the info from SEMA:

To register for the SEMA Show 2021 you need to provide the proof of employment in the aftermarket industry. This documentation includes a business card, tax registration certificate or business registration, business license, a business photo ID, or a recent paycheck stub.

If using a business card or a business photo ID, the company name and address must match the information in your registration. It also must include your job title.

This is all required in order to prove your business or your employer is a current and actual automotive aftermarket business. That’s why proof starts with business registration, business certificate or tax ID. Next, you must prove you’re either the current business owner or you’re currently employed by that business.

If your business license shows you’re the business owner, great. That is an accepted method. If you’re employed by a business, you have to provide a business card or a paycheck stub, or a business photo ID, that includes your name and the name of the company. Note that everything has to match the name of the company you are registering under.

You also have to provide a current email address. SEMA prefers a company email address. Also note that all documents you provide must be in English.

I know it is not open to spectators, but I'll have to find a business who is willing to let go a few extra tickets for a fee $$. Hence my post, looking for help from my fellow stangers............thanks

Good luck, they are really cracking down on tourists. For instance for the "spouse" tickets, you have to present a photo ID to get the credential holder (which is required to get in).

It's an industry show, if you don't have business to conduct you don't need to be there. Sucks, but that's the way it is. With continued covid restrictions I expect credentials will be tougher to get than in years past. It's something that has actually needed to happen for a few years. Far too many people that have no business being in the show have been getting in over the past few years. They make it much more difficult to make meaningful B-to-B connections. That's one of the major reasons that I haven't gone to SEMA in the past few years, and have focused on PRI. Now if they would just move PRI back to Orlando...

I've always wanted to go, but never have. It definitely does suck that you can't attend the event as a spectator. Hopefully that changes for next years event.

I don't own a business, I would be a spectator.

You stated you would be a spectator, meaning you can’t go in. Easy button.

if you do some consultant work with an automotive company you may be able to get a business card. But then you would Not be a spectator.

Well, I am still going to find tickets cause I'm a big fan of the event. I was able to go last year by finding a craigslist ad, met some guy at hotel and got the pass to attend. I can assure you all it was the most spectacular event I have ever been to and you would love it. Was just hoping to get some referrals here from my fellow members, guess not.

Might not work for you this year. Word is they are finally going to start scanning badges for authenticity and requiring a photo ID that matches the name on the credential. Most large auto shows have been doing that during press days forever.

It’s not open to spectators. You need to be associated with a business.
If it was closer, I'd go in a heartbeat. My wife just said, "want to go"?

The PRI show is 10x better. Especially if ur looking for the latest shit to buy for ur car.

SEMA is all about one-off builds and motorcycles doing the same gay stunt over and over in the parking lot next to some *** drifting around in circles smh.
