The EPA is about the clearest example of how the United States has become a bureaucratic state. We do not live under a system of laws passed by elected representatives of the people. We live under a system of rules made by unelected bureaucrats.

Ok, so what do you all propose doing?

Watch the industry get taken out as you pound your chest screaming “muh freedom”? Because, if you haven’t noticed. Nobody in government gives a flying **** about you, your freedoms, or the constitution.

We either figure out some compromise or I bet they start impounding cars once they have ended the manufacturers.

The simple reality is the only way guns and hobby cars dont go away is if people stand up and start shooting... There is no compromise, they are not imterested in hearing any proposals

You're a dumb **** if you think the EPA wants to 'extort' companies. The EPA and the leftist bureacrats that man the organization from wall to wall dont give a shit about money - they have trillions of your dollars and the EPA budget annually is billions.

The EPA is manned by leftist shocktroops. Their overarching goal is to destroy the internal combustion engine powered vehicle and secondarily the individually piloted vehicle.

The EPA's goal is to grind individual liberty and those who believe in it under the treads of the bureaucratic leviathan.

You're not wrong. But our side is weak and naive/stupid.

For decades we ceded every arena of culture to the left. The worst of all, was the education arena. Now that the left has an iron grip on every facet of education in this country, they will slowly conduct their ideological genocide. Its damn near a crime to believe counter to leftist dogma and in a few years, teaching your kid how to shoot a rifle or turn a wrench will get you imprisoned in a north korean style education camp.

The last glimmer of fading hope is that some remnants of what used to be the miliatry are able to organize and 'do something'.

“Muh freedom?”
What the **** is that? If you haven’t read the eloquent arguments made by many important political philosophers and the founders of the USA, id suggest you stop offering to spread and lube your asshole for the government. There is another way.

Lol.

I was just thinking about this this morning. Part of the reason the left is demonizing the Founding Fathers is that any objective analysis and thought about the thoughts, beliefs, writings, and philosophies of the Founders leads a person to conclude that we are long past the point where it has become necessary to offer fierce and determined resistance to this government.

I am trying to come up with something to keep this hobby. What have you contributed? Please, livestream for us you guys violently stopping EPA agents and saving businesses and the hobby.

Stating that you have a freedom to do whatever is not stopping the EPA and other agencies from trampling these freedoms.

So what, other than proclaiming what we all believe to be our freedoms are you doing to keep or defend our freedoms? Other than trying to be cute and call me a name?

So if I pay $1,000, can I put a bigger Energizer in my Prius now ???

Seriously, let's start with private jets, yatchs, too many A/C units on your 20,000 sq/ft mansion, and capping volcanoes and cow's asses.

Last on my list would be car guys...

I completely agree but you know why the politicians and agencies don’t care about yachts, private jets, and ac units on mansions? Because that is the enjoyment of them and their pals that line their pockets.

Cars and guns are the hobby of us that are more middle income folks. The rich usually buy cars for status to sit in a garage, not race. The rich have private security and live in gated communities with their own security forces.

Yep, the real reality is its all going away, nobody in this day and age is as tough as they talk, if they were, civil war 2.0 would have kicked off already.

This is going to rankle some feathers, but eliminating the OBD2 standard and going back to tailpipe sniffing as the standard is what is really needed.

If I can set my car up to have the same or better emissions from my own setup, why does it matter how I got there? If I choose a better fuel in ethanol, invest in water/methanol injection and use Kooks high flow cats I can easily run a larger supercharger/more boost and have better NOx, SOx, and CO emissions.

If these EPA bastards are trying to ex post facto carbon emissions on cars never designed to fit into their bullshit categories for CO2, then a lawsuit will be required to bring them before a court.

Ultimately, I believe this will need to be settled in the Justice system. Perhaps, it may even may need to go before SCOTUS as a governance by bureaucracy rather than the representative Democracy that this country was founded as.

Essentially, we are seeing before our eyes a shift by our Federal government to force bureaucratic rule upon us. It is for the Justice system to interpret the law, not an unelected bureaucrat.

Your idea sucks balls. You are a quisling looking to 'Chamberlain' your way into some type of allowed dhimmitude. Your profers will only be taken for stupidity and weakness and do nothing but embolden the leftists looking to extinguish (in literal and figurative terms) you and all your stand for.

In general and specific to the instance, government bureaucrats and corporate wokesters are ramming leftist shit down our throats because they have no pushback or consequences to fear.
Our side needs to adopt the tactics of the left:

First off, lets judge shop and start hammering the shit out of the Fed .gov and EPA in sepicific with carefully crafted lawsuits designed to get Federal injunctions and ultimately Supreme Court hearings. Trump left us with a fortified Federal judiciary with dozens of his appointees.

Second, lets start targeting for pressure the EPA management and leadership that is making these decrees. Im not advocating anything illegal - but make life as uncomfortable as possible for these douchebags - whether its protesting at their residences - heckling them in public - or mailing the dildos - folks much more clever than I can come up with means of applying legal pressure to the individuals that will make their lives uncomfortable.

Third, and probably most important - is organize and resist in a structured way. The EPA for example, has field offices in most states and those leftist shocktroops set forth everyday to fine and destroy business. We need to embolden and encourage red state legislatures at the muncipal, country, and state level to pass laws to restrict the phyical operational capability of the EPA and its minions. For example, if a state law enforcement entity arrests the EPA douchebags at the local EPA field office and is supported by the State AG in charging them with effective charges - what are the Feds going to do? Launch a rescue operation? There needs to be red state resistance to the point that it makes these douchebags pick an easier target and leave the automotive enthusiast industry alone.

I agree with this, but not my paying protection money to the EPA. Modding cars used to be the sport of poor folks. I can't afford to hand them money like that and hope they play nice.

As far as this being a Democrat problem..I remember how the BATF and state LE was most active and hammering on outspoken Castle Owner in the Bush years. I experience that to its fullest.

IMO the EPA is just making a run on it during this transition, like they usually do.

There are plenty of poor folks who mod their cars both Democrat and Republican who have a voice. Getting us all organized is the problem..red and blue.

Deceptive, I appreciate you trying to come up with an idea to save our hobby. I don't want to pay to play like many others have posted but i commend you for thinking/trying something to keep our hobby alive. Thanks!
Edit: I don't have a better answer to throw in the pot to help either.

I don’t like what I even proposed if I am to be honest. I just know that we need to do something. I suggested in another thread to get a lawyer to draw up the “meat” of an injunction and distribute it for all to file against the EPA.

I don’t know what shops are doing. Are they going to court? Are they just paying fines? What approach are they using to fight? Do they lay over in fear of even more action being taken against them?

Somebody in another forum suggested having a meet in DC to protest. But we all know the idiots that shit down highways and city blocks to act like retards would show up and make the court of public opinion case against the hobby.

I am filling out the RPM Act every other day but that does not go far enough and our representatives are idiots that believe grassroots Motorsports is millions of dollars in manufacturer based professional race teams.

Agreed. Deceptive you're on the right track bringing ideas to the table. I don't think RPM act is nearly enough. I have no idea what to suggest that might actually work either, other than we should all support efforts towards saving the hobby.
