Haha, I wish I was making this up.

Californians and shit moving to Colorado.

Yesterday they called for snow, not a lot, but some in the afternoon through midnight. It was like 59 the day before and 39 all day yesterday so the ground was warm enough I knew it wouldn't stick.

Leaving work a lady pulled out in front of me, it was "snowing" technically, but the roads were only wet.

Look at the speedo, that went on for a solid mile.

She couldn't even keep the damn thing in between the lines, she crossed over at least 3x. Her wiper blades were set on warp speed.

The speed limit on this road is 35 and it's wayy to slow, it's hard to keep yourself under 50 because it's perfectly straight and kind of bowl shaped so you can see all the way across it.

Pfffff...That's still at least 7 over the speed limit weather around here. That lady clearly bought the wrong vehicle if she doesn't feel safe at 35mph in those wimpy conditions.

Looks beautiful! Man would I love to be there right now. Isla Verde is a well known vacation spot in PR, isn't it?

Bob! It depends on what you're looking for tbh. If what you are looking is to leave the room, walk and die on the beach, Isla Verde is very popular in that regard and so is Condado/Ocean Park. AB&Bs in these exclusive areas are really expensive, it wouldn't be unusual to get a Hotel stay at a better price.

If you don't mind to drive a little to go to these beaches in Isla Verde and Ocean Park; Cupey (25mins), Santurce (10mins), Hato Rey (20mins), Piñones (10mins) or even Guaynabo (25min) can offer a better stay (moneywise) w/ AB&Bs.

So it's about your planning and what you want to do in the Island. The West Coast (Isabela, Aguadilla, Rincón, 2 hours from San Juan) is very well known for its surf scene and beaches, the South-West (Guánica, Lajas, Cabo Rojo, 2.5 hours from SJ) for its tranquil waters. To the East you have the only Rainforest in the US in Rio Grande (El Yunque, 45mins from SJ) and a boating scene in Fajardo and Luquillo (1.5 hours from SJ). The South is well known for its colonial architecture and rum production (Ponce, 1 hour from SJ).

If your thing is to hike and go to rivers, basically the whole center part of the Island is your place to be. You'll find AB&Bs in the mountains dedicated to this type of tourism too. So, again it's about your planning haha. Snorkeling, scuba, paddle boarding, deep water fishing are popular too.

Great info. We have friends with family in Puerto Rico. Who know, I might get there one day. I'm going to save your tips in my vacation folder for future reference. Thanks!

Damn, sorry to here that, 40s are tough. Gonna be upper 50s low 60s and breezy tonight and tomorrow night after a couple of weeks of perfect high 60s - low 80s over here on the east coast. Should be the last chill this year though.
