Anyone from OK know what the story is and if it will be cleaned up?

I have a few questions.

Why was it abandoned if wind power is a form of future energy production?
How long ago was it abandoned?
Was it ever even used and if so what was the life span of this farm?
Where is the outrage from the environmental nuts?

From what I saw they never went online. Couldn't get the transmission lines built for political reasons and the company bailed.

I really hate those things. Sure our wind is usually 15mph, dosen't mean we need more fans.
40% of our power comes from it, so guess who has the highest electric rates west of the Mississippi (aside California), Kansas, and it's going up at least 11% in Wichita over the next 4 years.
Kc gets most of the power from our single nuclear reactor at wolf creek (about halfway between KC and Wichita). And whenever they try to build a coal or nat gas plant eco groups from outside the state sue and litigate until the companies give up. They tried to build coal plants out west near Holcomb for over a decade, went from 3, to 2 to just 1. They finally gave up a year back.

Sunflower Electric abandons proposed Kansas coal power plant

Report: Kansas electricity costs higher than other states

This is bullshit, AOC told me that if we don't go green, right away, that we are all going to die in 12 years, something like that.

I say pull the damn plug on everything. Lets go back to the stone age before electricity and give those liberals a taste of what they can expect from the green new deal

What a waste of money and resources. From the looks of the equipment, I thought maybe a tornado passed nearby. That is crazy. In a few years, if the work on the southern border wall isn't resumed and finished, the abandoned equipment and materials if left there will render a similar eerie look.

Just no maintenance and the parking brakes fail. If a tornado hits them the whole tower comes down. There is a video of one hitting a wind farm southwest of Wichita down in Harper county online thats a great watch.

The regular wind actually blows too hard some days, and spins the setup too fast and either the generator/ bearings burn up until a blade fails and it burns or just one of the blades fail and it sits with the two remaining at 5 and 7 and the stump at 12.

Here's the video

Nonsense. The liberals told me solar and wind were as reliable as coal natural gas and nuclear power
