As the title says, having a difficult time trying to figure out what way this thing is supposed to go in. Bought a new one so the rod isn't flopping around so I didn't want to break the new one trying to figure out what way it should go. If anyone could post up a close up pic I'd appreciate it!

Yes, that is what I need a picture of to see how it snaps into the radiator cover.

I know money doesn't grow on trees for some of us...but get MRT hood struts..and call it done.

Here's a pic of the clip on my '96, shows orientation of open end facing front if that's what you need to know.

No that's perfect, thanks! I was struggling to figure out if it went that way or reversed and I didn't want to break it.

One of these days I'll grab some MRT struts. I was just always scared with a fiberglass hood, even with that extra bracket MRT uses.

So you can essentially buy the shocks at the website you listed? Where do you get the bracket from.

You need to buy the full kit, he is just listing how to replace the struts when they wear out.
The 4 brackets are not available separately.

Ah I gotcha. Basically, when the struts wear out you can just buy new ones elsewhere at a different rating.
