Tough times call for tough decisions: Install set of cheap throw aways ala Corbeau or something else in the mean time.

lol

Yeah I've thought about that but I have to drill the floorpan to mount the seats and don't want a bunch of holes. I may get some carbon Sabelts if Recaro doesn't start production by summer.

I definitely will in the neighborhood. I don't even need a phone book, either. I can sit on the floor, reach the pedals, and see over the dash. It's tiny.

Thanks! It will be 99.9% complete (less seats) by tomorrow meaning it will run and drive, but I still need to tidy up some wires, etc.

Recaro just posted a photo of the seats I ordered on their instagram and replied to someone's comment saying they are still locked down and not producing them at the moment. Sucks!

I assume the one piece carbon ones? What about something like tillet racing seats?

This seat is what I ordered, but in all black. I rendered this photo so that I could show my upholsterer how I want them to look.

The Tillets are cool and very lightweight, but just so bland too.

Recaro is based in Germany, or at least they have a manufacturing plant and offices there. I tried to get them to make the 13-14 GT500 seats for me with custom stitching when I lived in Stuttgart, but they said they couldn't due to licensing issues with ford.

Germ and MI, USA, you're both right

You can thank that excellent gov in MI for not having your seats yet

The seats are made in Germany and from my understanding, they are locked down hard because of Covid. The guy I ordered them from is in Germany with over 50 seats in the queue, none of which have shipped.

I'm using the GM ECU and from my research, there is no aftermarket plug and play solution for the LT5, which I think is due to the direct and port injection. The transmission is a G97/50 from a 2008 Porsche 911 Turbo with an RPS triple carbon clutch. It should weigh around 2200-2300lbs from what I've heard.

Here's a short clip from the first drive around the block yesterday. It is so rowdy.

Yeah I definitely will do a track day with it when it's all set up. There are some local track days with some serious exotics that I'd like to participate in.

Damn damn damn damn damn. Wow. Where in FL are you again?

I'm in Palm Beach Gardens right now but moving to Ft. Lauderdale shortly.

It has been mine for a long time too! Glad to finally be in one.

Got the car tuned finally and it made 751 to the tires with boost falling from 16.5psi to 12psi from belt slip. I got a new idler pulley that should fix the problem so it should be in the low 800s with full boost. In the meantime I took a vacation to Guadalajara and saw a ZX-10R who I did a rolling photoshoot with.
