What is the preferred method for getting all the gas out of the tank without running the engine? I just discovered tonight that the 100 octane I've been getting is leaded...!

If your tuner is Lund they can send you a tank drain tune.

Willie, you can change a couple settings in your tune that will run the fuel pump without pause. I did this to drain my gas after my last upgrade session that lasted a whole lot longer than anticipated and I wanted fresh gas to start it. I'll see if I can find it on this laptop. I disconnected my fuel line at the fuel filter and put it in a 5 gal gas can, but it might be a PITA to get the car on ramps to do this. It fills up quicker than you think.

@Willie, change "Duty Cycle when pump is off" in the Returnless Fuel Pump settings to .5. As long as the key is on accessory, the fuel pump will be running. Reload your old tune when done, and yes your fuel pump will be running on the tune restore, until it starts flashing.

Awesome! Thanks.

I was thinking about this late last night. I have aftermarket fuel rails with a crossover that has -08AN fittings, so I can just unscrew one side. I've only run about one complete tankful but I hope I didn't ruin my cats.

Very unlikely you hurt anything with one tank but I also just pulled the return line at the regulator and let it run to cycle thru the injectors also.

Good advise.

I wasn't as stupid as it sounds. There's was a Shell about 2 miles away that used to sell Sunoco unleaded 100. That station became a Speedway, so I stopped going there because I prefer name brand fuel. Another 3 miles further is a new Chevron, which I started going to. Then I saw a 100 octane pump there also and it was $1 cheaper, so I started getting it there. Last night, I was pumping it and saw a small decal that I've never seen before, "LEADED GAS". I then drove to the Speedway to see if they had the same decal. I did not see one, but I also did not see any signage that says this gas is unleaded, so I plan on calling and asking. For now, I'm assuming it's unleaded as it used to be a few years ago, and it's still $1 higher per gallon.
