Another question

After reading thread after thread from the mid 2000s till 2010s I am just lost. Basically want i want to know is will it be beneficial to just delete the crossover since I need a new one.

I had purchased one a couple years ago but turns out it is rotten from the inside and leaks.

1) is the tube actually rusted away? Im not sure how the design may have changed but mine had an oring into each head and one or two orings inside the center section as well (didnt realize that until it started leaking

2) depends on how you look at beneficial - the car will probably run about the same, I see you're in Colorado where it gets way damned colder than here, it may take longer for your car to warm up when really cold. It makes the system simpler, you run a basic and cheap chevy thermostat, its significantly easier to burp and depending on how you run the lines looks cleaner.

Not to hijack the thread, but do you think it's easier/cleaner without a crossover tube with a centrifugal setup?

yes, mainly the bay pass line - it’s really in the way screwing with the procharger idler (at least on my setup, belt routing may be different with a 3 bolt tensioner)

I just removed my procharger and when I pulled my stock cross-over pipe out of storage it looked pretty crappy.. also I had a ratchet actually break off in the filler cap so when I had the pipe powdercoated I ordered the plug from MMR. This was just a few weeks ago. Very high quality piece. Also I found the O-ring kit on ebay. If you don't know the pipe separates at the middle and this is the part that usually leaks and people think it's "rotted out" but they just don't realize it's two separate pieces with an o-ring seal inside.

I pieced it together a couple years ago and it hasn’t been the same since it leaks. And since I have put new hoses, radiator I don’t want this piece to be the weak link
