Looking to change out the stock springs and lower the car between 1.0 and 1.25in. Been hunting online but haven't found anything that isn't 1.5in drop or more.

Any spring suggestions from the group would be greatly appreciated.

ive been through H&Rs sports and Eibach springs---they are progressive springs that contrary to popular opinion do not give a good ride because half the spring coils are dead coils (coil bind) and like you noticed they lower the car more than what you want. I ended up going with cut stock springs front and rear, the ride is still good and a little more handling performance. For the reduced ride height that you want it would be about 3/4 coil cut in the rear and 1 coil in the front, thats with using spring isolators, Some will say oh dont cut your springs but Many have been happy with cut stock springs. With other cars Ive had I did not like cut srpings but with my Cobra its been the only way to go. You cut the open coil end (pig tail end) with a cut off blade with a hand grinder. -----------There are many write ups on this forum and other mustang forums about cut springs, just google mustang cobra cut springs

I have Eibach springs and have had them on the car since 2001. I don't consider the ride harsh but they are a little stiffer than stock, if I remember correctly. Ran them for years with the stock shocks and struts and are just now switching out to Bilsteins. My car is low mileage.

I wouldn't want it any lower as ground clearance is limited and I'm running stock exhaust. I bottom out on just about every speed bump.
I haven't experienced any spring sag with age.

52Merc - do you have a bigger picture of your Cobra you'd could post so I could see what it looks like with the Eibach springs.

Just for purposes of noting, I recently swapped out my OEM shocks and struts and bought Koni shocks and struts. I then added new H&R race springs that indicated a 1.6in drop in the front and 1.5in drop in the rear. After we added the new springs my Cobra looks like it could showcase on the cover of low-rider magazine. Way too low with the H&R springs.

I will look for a picture. Right now it is on jackstands since I'm rebuilding the entire front suspension. I have this picture handy but I don't think that will help you out any.

Are you sure you have the race springs? The sports lower the car more than the race. Also, too low can be subjective. Most in here would probably think my car was too low. I recently bumped it up a little for tire clearance and I'm still lower than I was on H&R Race springs.

The pic is the day I brought it home with the H&R's.

That stance looks great. I did get the race springs or at least that's what they were marked in the box and on my receipt. Mine unfortunately is lower than what yours looks like in the picture.

I'd say something is up with your springs then. That was with the isolators in as well. I'm on full coilovers now.

Thanks for the pics. Your Cobra in these pics is exactly what I'm looking for. Really appreciate it !!

Well thats lower than the 1" to 1 1/4" that you say you wanted in your first post, what you see in that pic is about 1 1/2 to 1 3/4" lower than stock. The H&R sports are no lower than in the photo and maybe not even that low------I have the sports that are almost brand new and look new, with about 500 miles on them, Ill sell them to you for 1/2 of what ever they are going for plus shipping, I can send you photos, Pm me if interested.
