I love how they tried to cover their tracks.

I mean it’s definitely possible but if he’s going to do a video like that he needs to show him actually opening up a sealed motor to prove it was bone dry

I’m kind of confused. Is he saying the car was taken back to the Jiffy Lube after it seized up, or the owners themselves filled it with oil, before taking it to a dealer?

It was taken back to the Jiffy Lube after it seized and they filled it with oil and spun on a new filter. They then had it towed to the dealership hoping the factory would cover the repair under factory warranty. The dealership, smelling a rat, documented it.

That’s what I thought he was saying. Who the hell takes their car to a Jiffy Lube when it seizes up?

I wouldn't go back to that place until my ducks were in a row to have them pay for what they had done.

From what I gather it had fresh clean oil in it because Jiffyboob tried covering their butt when the motor locked up. Customer probably brought it back to Jiffyboob and the tech noticed no oil and the OG filter in it and put fresh oil and a filter in it.

True story. My parents had a 1994 LHS. They took it to Jiffy Lube and the guys there stripped the drain plug and didn't say anything. Well, you can guess how we found out and how pissed my parents were.

Well I wonder who's gonna be paying for the new motor. I bet jiffy lube will deny the claim.

Jiffy Lube used to call us with jobs that they screwed up and they would cover the costs of whatever needed to be repaired. This is super deceptive though what they did. I loved piecing the puzzles together when shit came to us with some other shop or dealer trying to blame us because the customer told them we touched it last or something. There's always evidence left behind that will tell you the whole story.

That happened to my Cobra at a ****in ford dealership...was there for the old 3650 tsb and i asked the them to changle the oil while it was there...yeah...loved the puddle of oil in my driveway that night

The impact they used blew those threads right up...and rounded the head...****ers

I am surprised jiffy lube is still in business. In around 2015 there was a news report in Los Angeles about going around to maybe 15 different jiffy lube stores in a clean fresh serviced vehicle. Most upsold service that didn’t need, and didn’t perform it. I had taken my work vehicle to a jiffy lube(was part of fleet lease service) 3 weeks previous. After I saw the report I liked under the work truck and found the Ford dealer filter from the last oil change from another state. ****ers!
