So a few months back i popped my differential cover or "IRS" cover with bad wheel hop, i made the mistake of purchasing $160.00 dollar "IRS" cover brace from ebay...all that brace did is not allow the cover bolts to tighten ALL THE WAY DOWN correctly causing leaks and made the install very difficult, might i add it also made a nasty howl inside the cockpit..my advice to anyone who goes through what i did is purchase the ford racing aftermarket diff cover its worth the money and pain youll save yourself, i do my own work and it made a world of difference. Heres a before and after..

That looks like the old Billetflow brace. Were the bolts not long enough? I ran a similar brace back when I got into Cobras and didn't have any issues.

That being said I have the FRPP cover now and prefer it.

The bolts where plenty long just was very difficult to tighten all the way down almost like the holes for the bolts where not on point. EBAY special  lol

yeah that is some kind of cheap knock off of the billetflow/mjchip design. the billetflow came with all of the correct hardware and worked very well for what it was - a quick and easy way to strengthen the cover without dropping the diff.

This. Wanna guess who brought the need for that cover to the attention of TA (the manufacture of the FRPP piece) years ago?

They need some praise.....I'm so glad the cover was available and I went that route. I had almost bought a brace several times out of the marketplace prior.

I got the Steeda stop-the-hop brace.
Same thing..another Billetflow copy.

I think Steeda still sells them.
