I'm not one to bash anyone. I'm more the guy that enjoys posting in the Nws section to make people laugh..

I remember ordering this clutch probably 7 years ago.. Slowly over the years it was harder and harder to get into gear once you started the car. Phone call after phone call I'd call Mcleod and was told to check multiple things before removing the transmission.
The Past 3-4 years I don't think I drove the car more than 2500 miles. The past year I couldn't get the car into first or reverse unless I did so prior to starting the car. Per tech support its from a defective Pressure plate dragging..

He are the pictures....mind you I don't track the car at all.. Mostly taking the kids out once in awhile and making noise... I'm just venting spending $1200.00 on the top of line clutch and its defective.. Never again.

Are those gouges in the pressure plate or just hot spots?

Honestly, why did it take you so long to pull it apart? I'm sure you figured out before the break in was done something was amiss.

Hot spots.. It was manageable up until last year... I tried to so something after 3 years and maybe 1,000 on the clutch and I was denied any assistance.. So it was time. The pressure plate would drag and wouldn't go into gear which progressively got worse.

My fault yes but still a defective unit.. Life and learn

I get it. We've all had something like that. Always sucks when it happens.

Seems like I have been reading a bunch of stuff like this about McLeod the last couple of years. Lethal Performance has come out with their own twin disk, I haven't read any reviews about it, but it can't be any worse than McLeod's stuff at this point. And at $1,165 including a light weight steel flywheel, it seems like a decent deal. I plan on going this route once I order my magnum. Here's a link if you're interested:
