Ummm...didn't auto makes do this to themselves and us? They misjudged the affect the pandemic would have on new car buyers and they shit the bed by canceling a bunch of their scheduled orders.

This is the perfect time for auto manufacturer's to decide if they'd rather sit on extra inventory or deal with a shortage for the next time they are faced with a similar decision on canceling orders from their suppliers or not.

I mean the auto manufacturers had to close down their plants due to an overhyped virus. Union laborers stayed out, and have stay out as long as they possibly can justify.

So the question I pose is, what is the general consensus on when vehicle prices will return to normal with rebates and what not? Selling my truck right now for $31k when I purchased it for $33k 4 years ago sounds like a really good deal. I could be truckless for a little while waiting for the rebates to come back around, but not a year.

I'll be honest I'm not sure I care... the federal government can **** off in any capacity towards business.

Also didn't 2 of the big 3 take money and move their ops to Mexico? I know ford just moved a big project there out of the US. I don't feel sorry for companies that take American jobs and send them somewhere else, even though I'm not a union guy.

All supply chain and producers right now are going to **** themselves if they don't figure it out.

Things are going to get so expensive that nobody will want them. Demand will drop. Then you get layoffs and recession, compounding the issue. Enough, and you enter a depression. Housing developers and multi family are slowing down, we're being asked to constantly bid and rebid jobs weekly with new material prices but nobody is pulling the trigger on anything right now.

All this because we needed "15 days to flatten the curve". All those that were pro lockdowns deserve to be shot at this point for all the disruption they've caused. The lives lost due to this, as well as things like famine/hunger, far or will far exceed those saved by lockdowns.

Nick, are you seeing high used car prices being predominantly SUVs and trucks? I'm wondering that since manufacturers have delays on new production and the majority of that production is SUVs and trucks.

I feel for the people paying all the inflated prices on new vehicles and specially used vehicles. They are going to be very flipped in the coming years.

I'm pretty sure we're going to be headed that way for sure.

Factor in higher gas prices, out of control food prices and people buying homes because the interest rate is low, but paying more than the house is worth to begin with. Big time recipe for recession. Plus,....how high are these gas prices going to go? Gas prices go up, everything that we buy goes up, obviously.
Except for our wages. LOL

Isn’t this the same woman that’s trying to destroy the trucking industry
