Going on another deployment in the near future that's going to have me out in the ME for a minute. Decided to give one of these a whirl to keep critters out and hopefully keep the leather from molding in the Shelby. Anyone have any feedback on them?

I'm running the fan off an inverter plug to a Hawker Armasafe 6TAGM then the to a little charger / tender. That way if power goes out during a storm or some crap it should be able to stay running for quite a while (it runs off a little server fan), then recharge when the power comes back on.

Have you considered having the car stored while on jack stands also?
I have. The front tires are like 5 years old and getting close to end-of-life so I'm not too worried about them. The rears are damn near brand new so will likely at least get them off the ground.

I was also making that suggestion to take weight off the shocks and suspension. It is what we do at the track in between races. Just a thought.
I actually have a new suspension setup that I was about to install when I found out about the deployment. Decided to leave it in the box along with the long tubes for when I get home. So I think I should be good there

Throw a VCI emitter pad or two in there to stop the rust.

I've never heard of this so will definitely do some research, thank you!

That was actually a huge thing that concerns me. The capsule changes the air 4x per hour and is filtered but SC is humid as Satans butt hole. So not sure how that might effect.

The bubble is the way to go...you can still get rodents with the car jacket.
The bubble can also be accidentally pierced. I agree, though, that with proper precautions around the sealed car, the bubble is superior to the bag. I just posted it as a viable option, which it still is.

@blubyu87gt - Thanks for your Service!

Car Capsule stuff is expensive and customer service is kinda poor. I'll stop there.

Never had a problem with rodents in a Car Capsule. That's the main reason why I use it.

Does it work well enough to stop corrosion from condensation (freeze/thaw)? Yes, mostly.

The frost just left our garage floor last week and I already had the car out, and the Car Capsule put away. So, I just ran a fan in the garage under the car. But the block, etc. weren't frozen either. I just wanted to keep the wet air moving.

This is the one I bought back in 2010. A 16' is sufficient.

It was $325 back then?

I've stored a car in this same Car Capsule for +10 years.
- I'm on my second fan. I have a 2 spares.
- One I ordered from Car Capsule mounted on the velcro pad.
- One I ordered just the fan from amazon, then mounted and wired the fan to a plug
myself.
- I'm on my second transformer.
- Both the NFG fan and transformer failed at start-up, not during use.
- If you lose power, the bubble just deflates (like jerry nadler). When the power returns, it blows right back up (amy schumer).
- The circular air filter is absolute garbage. It's the material. Even when they're new, they literally fall apart in your hand. Car Capsule engineers need to change material. Poor choice.
- Last year, I didn't even use a filter.
- Two years ago was the first time I found a small tear in the upper/clear part near to top. Size of dime. I simply put clear duct tape over both side of the hole. Not sure how it got there. Good to go.

For the last 3 years, I've been putting carpet samples under the tires, inside the Car Capsule.

- This spring, I found two tears along the zipper on the passenger side. I know I did it. Not sure if this car is a liitle wider, but I had a harder time zipping it up last fall at the rear tires.
So I simply sewed both areas with some waxy-type string. Ya, I know, but it'll hold - lol.

- If you want to blow it up faster, use a shop vac and hook the hose to the exhaust - lol.
- This year after I wiped it down with Simple Green, I wiped some Meguiar's 57 vinyl/rubber protectant on the outside. Not sure if that was a good idea or not. The material isn't brittle or fracturing, I just don't want to spent $469 on a new one.

Good luck!

If the air is circulated then a VCI emitter won't work. They work in sealed containers, emitting a corrosion inhibitor that coats every everything with a very thin layer. They work great in sealed containers.
