I’ve been debating selling my Vette simply due to cashing in on the market. I owe around 37K and it only has 7k miles on it. Very tempting with the used prices I’ve been seeing and C8 shortages/delays/cancellations keeping them high.

For god sakes make sure you haven't changed the interior and you are positive on the mileage or you may get hunted down by the previous owner.

Cross thread points?

Hey Nick- found a truck that I might like on a used lot. Presuming they bought at auction, are you able to determine what was paid and where I should be($) using the vin? The dealer has it listed with “call for best price”.

Cleaning spit orange juice off the monitor, thanks.

13Cobra how delayed do you think the new vehicles will be this fall. I'm thinking of a Maverick depending on if I like it in person.

Think the dealer I go to has maybe 5 new vehicles. And 3 are the ones they bloated with a lift and tires.

It's pretty much a 50 car used car dealer now.

I can tell you what a good deal would be on it, but wouldn't be able to see what they paid.

Very delayed.

Actually, I doubt it. Guys are making twice the money on half the cars.

Because of the insane markup of used trucks, it made more sense for us to buy a new one. Used '15-'19 around me were about $5-10k less than a '21 depending on miles.

So a 2021 Sierra 2500HD SLT now sits in our driveway. When the time came to order what we wanted, GM was reserving parts for AT4 or Denali packages. We didn't want either one and lucked into finding the truck we have no only 1hr away at a dinky small town dealer.

Wow I think only Mt Everest has a steeper climb than that :eek::eek:

But is that you Yimmy Carter I sure missed you back in the late 70's when inflation hit like a Mack cement truck. I guess they are right history does repeat itself.

Yup.

Hopefully we can get the music from the 70s back too.

Until they delete it all to appease the liberals who don’t want to be reminded of what their ancestors went through.

Wonder if we can push to get that “40 acres and a mule” thing deleted...hmm.

I bet people overpaying for cars/trucks/houses NOW will be REAL happy in 2-3 years when hopefully the market value of all this "plummets" (aka goes back to "normal") and they try to recoup their investment lol.

I'm super curious about how all this produced inventory sitting on storage lots is going to come to market. Will it be dribs and drabs or a huge gusher refilling dealer inventories?

I would think the manufactures will push them out as soon as possible to get paid, which hopefully brings the market back to normal.

Slow and steady.

Transportation will be the next big (read as 'small') bottleneck in the supply chain.
