Here is my Cartier Roadster, I will get a picture of the Datejust. People like the snowflake, they will like a DJ. Next watch will probably be some type of chronograph, but I don't like the idea of buying in this overheated market.

I just wear my old trusty G-shock. It will never let me down, and I have beat the shit out of it through the years.

God tier!

G socks have a huge following and deservingly so. There are some high end gshocks in the market. Casio's luxury Oceanus line has the gshocks movements in them.

I like the Gshocks from Japan. I have one with a screwback case that gets a lot of wear.

I agree. If you are going to get one, make sure that it is manufactured in Japan. Is there a difference between one made there and one made in Taiwan or somewhere? Probably not, but it's a great piece of mind.

There is a discernible difference. The quality is better and they use better materials in the strap etc.

Love the G shock for daily wear specially as I work in a shop and it’s not uncommon to help with diag work on the cars so I’m not fond of wearing higher end watches to work.

Side question for the ones buying the nicer watches, where is everyone getting other bands for them? Looking to swap for something a bit more casual on my breitling navitimer

I get my Natos in bulk on Amazon. There are a few decent leather straps and fabric straps there as well. For a Navitimer strap I would check out Laco. I really like their leather straps and they have a few aged pilot straps that would look great on a Navitimer.

love my navitimer. I have the rubber airplane tire band and it makes the watch imo.

FlahDah man.
If you have a steel sports model you can flip it for about 15k. Granted you may have the wait another year to get another but you are correct and on resale depreciation of most watches.
No. What I am saying is that a Tag is actually more expensive. Here is why:

1. Buy submariner for 10k. Wear it for 5 years. Sell it for 9.5k. Cost = 500
or
2. Buy Tag for 2.5k. Wear it for 5 years. Sell it for 1k. Cost = 1500

The rolex is actually cheaper than the tag

OK Bozos, stop clowning around.

A year? I wish, I think I’m almost there waiting on a GMT Batman
