What to look for when checking out a Mach E???

How easy it is when you run out of power to have ford pick you up and bring you to a charging station... then how long it'll take to get car running again when batteries are depleted from 0

I've never ran a car out of gas, I don't see running this one out of juice being a problem.

Does it do a brake torque burnout like a normal car??

That's a good question. I'll have to check that.

That sound like an issue that may be uniquely yours.

I’ve always wanted to know what are actual recharging times on all EV’s. And not like ok recharge it enough to get home or leaving it on recharge all night at your house. But how does it compare to filling your tank with 20+ gallons in less than 5 minutes. Because I think having to go and spend a half hour at a recharge station is just stupid.

I think most claim to be able to go from 20% to 80% charged in 45 min when on a commercial charging station. Nothing comes close to the energy transfer speed of a standard gas pump.

To me that would be a major deterrent. Most major commercial recharge stations are few and far between at this point in the game. It’s almost more of a hassle than a benefit.

For longer trips, I agree. But for around town duty electric makes sense. I'd still like to have an old Ranger EV.

Yeah, please ask them WHY ON EARTH DID THEY CALL THIS THING A MUSTANG ?!?

I'm just getting the car, but I can answer that. It's what happens when you have a marketing dept that isn't strong enough to create something exciting and unique, but has to rely on the strength of a legacy nameplate. IMO, they should have called it the Ford Galaxy. Hell, bring back the Mercury line as an all electric brand. Mercury Comet seems appropriate.

The word, desperation, comes to mind. It's just so obvious what they're doing by using the name, that's what annoys me.

Not everyone is going to be able to rely on a commercial charging station, so I'm really interested in hearing about your experience with (A) actual miles range based on varied driving on the highway and around town, including occasional full throttle jaunts, and (B) more specifics on typical owner re-charges at home. Here's an interesting quote from a C&D review of the Mach-E.
"Range, Charging, and Battery Life - The 2021 Mustang Mach-E has an EPA-estimated range of between 211 and 305 miles, depending on the battery pack and type of electric motors, which isn't nearly as impressive as the rangiest Tesla models. Every model also has fast-charging capability. Every Mach-E comes out of the box with a Ford mobile charger that can add up to 30 miles of range per night with a 120-volt outlet and up to 80 percent of battery life overnight with a 240-volt outlet. A Ford charge station can also be ordered online and installed by certified electricians, with the ability to replenish 32 miles per hour and recharge the battery overnight."

I'd love to hear to true their findings were. If the comments above that I highlighted are even near correct, no way in hell would I want an EV. I'm looking forward to hearing more after your review, Sid.

The 120 option appears to be nearly useless. I'm hoping the 240 cable is long enough to reach the outlet for my dryer. I will be testing some other charging methods as well.

id want to know about the air noises and rattles it makes being there is no engine noise to dampen it
