I know I know. Dont kill me.

Can anyone remember which CAIs fit under the 96 strut tower brace? I dont have my stock intake and the one on the car is half bbk/half stock held there by a zip tie.

I want a new one, not for power (because we know they dont do shit). But I need to clean up the engine bay a little here

look for a stock 96/97 cobra intake. Other option in K&N cai. There wasn't a whole lot that cleared the stock brace without modified or rubbing.

In fact the Gen 2 K&N CAI for 03/04 cobra worked great on my 97 cobra i had with stock brace.

WMS in Canada used to make a CAI that placed the filter in the fender but still used the stock rubber elbow. Quick check of their site doesn't show it anymore, unfortunately.

I actually used to have that. I believe it was ceramic coated if I remember right.
I also used to have a Densecharger. Anyone remember those?

Can't remember if they offered it ceramic-coated, but mine has black powdercoat. I also got the one that had the Pro-M meter that was supposedly calibrated for the tube...definite SOTP difference when switching out to the stock airbox when I got it smogged last.

I vaguely remember the Densecharger, but I think its selling point was that it was plastic(?). The one thing I liked about the WMS was that it allowed me to keep the tower brace, which not many other CAI's did.

I had a Densecharger cai for my 93 Tbird 5.0. Worked well.

I have a JLT that fits under the brace on my 97. I also have a stock intake that I would let go...

I will try to get some this weekend.

I'm interested in a pic of this too. I'm currently running the stock rubber tube with a JLT adapter on the MAF and a 9" aFe Pro-Guard filter (no stock box, snorkel, etc.). Basically a cheaper RAI, but I'd consider adding the JLT pipe if it cleared the STB.

I just looked, I'm pretty sure the one I have is the WMS setup. I painted it a matte balck though to match the colors underhood. I can take a pic or 2

Wow I took too long to respond haha sorry about that.

Unfortunately I did have a BBK and that thing soaked up so much damn heat (granted the intake temp stayed pretty cool according to the tuner guage), that I used half of it with half of the stock intake to try to change some things. Within that time I am pretty sure I lost the other parts to the intake (via moving and all). So I now want to have just one unit as a whole to clean up the bay as well as have it sit better. Its currently held in the fender with zip ties(1).

Do you know which JLT? I have looked at the ones still on the market and sometimes they seem to fit, sometimes not. You do have that stock intake?
