So now that my GT500 is getting its built engine I've always wanted to run the Texas mile and try and hit 200mph or close to it. So my question is for guys that have actually done the mile what is the safety stuff you guys had and needed, I looked on there website and it was kinda hard to find the info I needed. Also what tires are you guys using? I might try and make the 2022 March event.

Here's a link to the rulebook. https://www.theusmileracing.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/Rules-and-Regulations-2021.pdf They don't seem to have changed a whole lot. You'll need a cage to 200 mph and over. If you break 200 on a run, they probably won't let you make another pass if you don't have a cage.
Thanks man, that's what I was looking for, I would honestly just want to hit 200 once. I'll have a GPS speedo on it to verify the speed. I think the car will do it with the stock gearing.
