I ended up going with the Dynavin N7 Pro head unit for my 2013. I picked it after doing a lot of research.
I really like it, the features are very nice and having Apple Car Play is awesome! It is so much louder than my stock stereo too. I had the Shaker with the little screen, it was okay, but the Dynavin really wakes the interior up.
Now I'm thinking about throwing a sub in it.

How was the install? GPS work OK?
Like the quality? Can you share why you went with this unit? Got pics?
Thanks & I know it's alot to ask.

I love the quality, it looks OEM and feels very solid. My car is the Premium so it has heated seats, there is a space for the heated seat button on the stereo so it looks factory.

I had it installed at a car stereo shop. The guy who did the install said while it is plug and play it's knowing where to plug and play. I probably could have done it myself but didn't feel like doing it so I just took it to them. It took them two hours to put the stereo in and a backup camera.
I didn't get the additional GPS, I use Waze or you can use Google maps so it has GPS through your phone.

I did a lot of research on this, reading reviews and watching YouTube. There are a couple of YouTube guys I watch with 2013-2014 Mustang's who went with it and gave it great reviews.

I've driven my car probably 3-4 times since having it installed (it's not a DD) and it's pretty easy to figure everything out with how to setup radio stations and get Car Play going.

I have some pictures of my old and new stereo, I'll try to get them uploaded this week.

So far, I really like it.

My ‘12 GT500 has factory nav. It’s nice and all but the Dynavin is def on my list of to-dos.. I might be able to get a few bucks for my stock stuff possibly. I don’t know what price people sell the OE nav for these days.

the touchscreen alone is worth quite a bit, $300-400+ as they are >$900 from ford if you can find them.
But there are options for guys like us with factoy nav, that gives you android auto/carplay and still uses the touchscreen. I put a cheap one in mine, it works well aside the mic as its loud in the car, I'm waiting for one to use the factory mic and I'll upgrade again.

A friend of mine had this unit and the mic was terrible. He drives a lot for work and his bluetooth was worthless. Outside of that I dont think he had any issues but overall he wasnt impressed and sold it. For the price I dont think you can go wrong, just dont expect OE quality from it.

The AA mic is damn near useless... I tried a few brands even with no luck. I kept the phone connection to sync bluetooth and it overrides the android auto (if i used it or music from it), as the module used the aux input.
Honestly I just want Ford to upgrade the maps. I have bought every year since 2014 and the latest and last version still has several major roads/bridges that were finished in 2015 missing, but the travellink still works.
Now my BMW has maps that are from February of 2021 but I cannot get traffic info as they used at&t 3g for their traffic and smart services and at&t is killing 3g in 2022, so no "new" accounts are being allowed. Hoping BMW makes an upgraded module with 4/5g but not holding my breath. It'd have to be the guys with E90-93s (3 series) spearheading it as there are so few E89s, but it should be backward compatible with my CIC nav
