Ive looked at some track pack cars with the rear seat delete and wondered how hard would that be to add to a non track pack car? Can you buy this kit from Ford? Im sure most on here never use the rear seat so why not get this and cut some weight. Looks like you could still haul some stuff back there with this in place too.

I did mine in my 13 Shelby in a couple hours time. Pretty easy to do. Looks cool and saved some weight. Couple real cheap sets out there so do your research depending what you want to spend. Im sure there are some nicer ones than mine out there but wanted to keep it basic

That looks awesome. I havent researched it much, but I remember Ford offering rear seat delete kits a while back for some models. I was just wondering if anyone had tried to get the kit from a track pack car and add it to their regular 2020+ GT500.

Ford is offering the rear seat delete on the 2021-22 MACH 1 as an option, so you should be able to get one from the parts department at your local Ford dealer.

That was the only solution (beyond used) if you wanted OEM, until recently. Ford Racing just put up a new RSD listing. It is slightly different than previous kits from them but follows the changes that were made to production line kits. The new number also includes a parcel shelf and uses a rivnut instead of a pushpin for the bottom of the RSD panel. FR doesn't have them stocked yet so you'll have to call regarding availability.

Instructions.

I was just wondering if anyone had tried to get the kit from a track pack car and add it to their regular 2020+ GT500.

I swapped in a FR RSD kit on my '20 GT500, but since FR had stopped selling them I had to find somebody that had an unused kit. It bolted in the exact same way the FR RSD kit did on my '16 GT350.

This latest kit from FR has more hardware in it and a great price (in the context of FR's previous prices).

If it matters, the Mach 1 and the GT500 CFTP RSD are the exact same hardware along with the new FR listing.
