The land of commies and socialists!
Well my 2nd T.V. in 5 years went titts up the other day and I only have tomorrow available to go get one.

I am not up on any of the new tech regarding them and need some suggestions.

I'd also like to let you know I will not consider any of the lower end brands. TCL, Vizio and the like are out because they flat out don't last in my experience.

This brings me to Samsung, LG and Sony.

Samsung concerns me as there are complaints with the sound quality. Some say the speakers flat out suck.

LG seems to have slightly better reviews than Samsung or Sony.

I've always loved Sony picture quality but they might be out of my price range.

Speaking of price. I am trying to keep it under 1500 with extended warranty, 3-4 HDMI ports and 65-75 inch.

I am also looking primarily at Costco as I'll be there tomorrow anyway.

Let me know what you suggest and why.

Thanks.

My samsung tv has a great interface, worlds above my panasonic. The picture is better on the panasonic but both are older plasmas. Everything now is LED. Micro-LED is all the new rage. I don't think 8k is worth it but 4k is a must.

I have 4 Samsung ranging from 46 inch that was purchased about 12 years ago when led TVs first came out to the 75 inch mentioned above and I love them and haven’t had any issues. I would agree that they don’t have the best sound but I have a sound bar they are cheap and sound great. Sometimes you can find promotions were the TV includes one.

At the point you're investing $2k in a tv like I did back then, you are hooking up an AV Sound System 5.1 Audio anyways. Home Theater. I don't go to the movies anymore. Just download and watch. Free and Covid Free

Get to Best Buy and look at the picture. Don't let them keep the contrast and brightness maxed on to trick you on the best picture. Reset the color settings.

We got this in 2015, and been a good unit, Speakers aren't terrible, but I run a sound bar and have a full surround if needed.

not up to date on the latest and greatest but agreed - I wouldn't let speakers make my decision. Black Friday will be here soon, grab a sound bar/sub combo on sale if the speakers aren't good enough.

I received an email last Nov. that OLED price has dropped.

I went into BestBuy and noticed they had an LG Nano open box for a great deal. I spoke with the sales person, and he convinced me Nano and OLED were about the same quality.

Well I got it home, installed and it totally sucked for Live TV. My old LED had a better picture.

I took it back and got the 77" LG OLED CX

Friggen LOVE it!! The price on Oled has dropped quite a bit.
