The OEM alternator on my 92 coupe went out and was draining the battery overnight. Got a rebuilt 75 Amp motorcraft unit from LMR. I know the 3G units are better, but I'm keeping the car stock. Here is my shiny new alternator installed, I put the plastic shield on too to keep it original. Seems to work great, no longer drains the battery and charges real good. The hardest part was getting the pulley off the old alternator, it required some persuasion.

Looks good. I'd go the same route on my 93. I'm surprised the reman didn't come with a pulley on it.

I ordered up some smoked headlights from Steeda for the 90 coupe. I think with my tail lights and the dark blue it will look good. The side markers will still have amber.

Looks like the center head lights are Ford ones. So I'll store them.

I'll post pictures once it's complete.

Can other fox bodies play??

New doors, old one's rotted out.

Added power locks (lock switches/covers from a Capri, if you guys remember LTD's had no PL switches, you had to pull up on one of the knobs to get PL's to work). Started with manual window door panel (and cutout hole for power window switch, which was precut for PW's from factory, luckily)

Can't buy these in chrome repro, so bought new GT covers and had them chromed.
(hard to find anyone to chrome/re-chrome plastic parts)

20180306_170331.jpg

Then cut holes for PL switch where manual window hole was. Fit in pretty good......

Also had grill re-chromed (started with LTD LX grill).

Be open to not liking smoked head lights. I cant say that Im a fan of them, even on a black car. A head light is a head light, to me, embrace it (sorry)
I can always take them off, but I don't think these actually look bad. Some seem different than others.

I thought about getting me a set too but I don't want them to dark.
Yeah me either. I still like the amber sides. I'll maybe install one side and post some pictures.

If all fails it's more fox parts that get stored away lol.

Those are not too bad, I had envisioned this. But I still like seeing the "ford script" on a fox headlight.

Damn those are ugly. I honestly am a fan of just OEM headlights on a foxbody. We'll just see how these look. Easy enough to change them back.

I absolutely can't stand the 1 piece headlights.

Great work, sir. She looks so much better. Fill me in on the wheels. The wheels in the second photo, with the new doors installed, are different.

They look like old school American Racing Saleen wheels. I'd call them Ronal wheels but I don't think they ever made them for Saleen.

Thanks, unfortunately, I inherited the car a little over 2 year ago (was dad's). The mesh wheels were just some junk I had lying around to go to the paint shop. (might have come off a 90's Grand Marquis). According to shop, they don't have a lot of guys that want to work on the older stuff, so car sat outside for months before it got done. Kudos to you guys that can align doors (especially a 4 door), would have taken me months.

The 5 spoke white wheels are AR, but made in Germany or Italy, IIRC.

Dual catch cans. One can goes to gutted PCV, the other, is T'd together from "PVC" fitting/lines off each valve cover. Nothing goes back into intake.

I'm getting friggn pumped for spring.
My mods are gonna be
1. Lithium battery, save 40lbs

2. New hoosier bias ply front runners, should save 20lbs unsprung over the radials on there.

3. maybe a grip tech pulley.

Loving that Capri too. I had one back in the mid 90s. I miss it.
I always wanted to buy another fox hatch and throw a Capri bubble on it.
