Even a regular Carrera is a substantial car and very fun to drive. Anything in the 996 to 997 generation will give you that telepathic and analog feeling.
Though I just sold my '06 to my dealer and bought a 2012 Turbo S. But I'll start my own thread when I get it, don't want to hog yours.
I looked for a manual 07-09 Turbo Cab and couldn't find one with the right color and miles. I really wanted a manual 11-12 GTS Cab but they never come to market and when they do they want Turbo money.

The turbo S is a great choice, and you're right that the GTS is hard to come by. I get the rarity/price factor but you can get a lot more car for the money (like you did!)

It seems like everyone with a desirable 911 refuses to let them go below top dollar.
I look forward to seeing your new ride!

Congrats! Car looks GREAT!! What turbos are on it?
Thank you sir! For turbos it is running the GT3076 Alpha kit w/ XONA billet upgrade

The white looks amazing!
I appreciate that!! It’s funny, I originally set out to find a red or yellow car. I didn’t really think about white too much because it’s one of the rarest colors to find. I am obsessed!

Niiiiiice!! That's a beautiful build.
Thank you, and everyone else for the compliments

Why would you convert a high hp 911 turbo from AWD to RWD?

It’s actually a very popular conversion. The obvious reasons are that it saves weight, has way better steering feel, turn in response and so on, make's the car more direct/crisp but obviously a bit more dangerous.

This is where the older 930 turbos and GT2 cars got their nickname “widow maker”. The 996 AWD system doesn’t get a lot of praise though and it’s rare to ever hear someone regret going RWD

Nice purchase. HRE's complement the car well. After driving a friends 86 911 turbo with RUF mods back in the day, I vowed myself to own one......someday :)

He sold it in 93' or so...fast car for the day. He street/roll raced the $hit out of it....never saw it loose from a roll.
