The convertible top on my 2001 Cobra will only go down. It will not go up unless I have the button pressed and someone is helping pull up/guide the top to close it....so right now, it is a 2 man operation to put the top back up. I've reached out to a few body shops and surprisingly they're not to keen on taking a look it for whatever reason. The last guy I talked to said that from the sounds of it, it could be a problem with a relay. Said there is a relay for the top to go down and a relay for the top to go up...but I've yet to find anything to back that up. Anyone with any knowledge on this if anyone can point me in a direction of a proper fuse diagram....or if it just sounds like a bad motor.....any advice would be greatly appreciated.

There are definitely two relays for the convertible top. One to raise it and one to lower it. I don't have a convertible, but the Shop Manual shows their location is behind the rear seat on the driver side. They could be accessible from the trunk area but I'm not sure. Maybe someone with a vert can chime in here.

This wouldn't be a body shop repair. This would be a mechanic repair. First thing I'd do is make sure there's power at the pump when you push the up button. Then start tracing wires.
