Today we made one of the hardest decisions we as dog owners have to make. Sadie let us know today that she was ready.

She turned 15 years old on March 3rd. We've had her since she was about 9 weeks old. May 10th would have been the day we brought her home. .

This is our first dog, I miss her dearly. We were fortunate that a friend/vet came to our house. So Sadie got to lay in her favorite place by the window. And her younger sister Addy was right there. She went peacefully.

These are some very recent pictures. I know she is now pain free and chasing bunnies and deer!

I love you Sadie Lou!

That's such terrible news. I'm so sorry you and family had to go through it.

I had to do it once and it was definitely not easy. I'm sure you gave her a great life and home, and maybe even some rides in the Mustangs. She was a happy pup :giggle:

RIP Sadie. Chase the squirrels and rabbits in dog heaven. It’s never easy losing the fuzzy family members in one’s life. Loved my beagle mix dearly.

Sorry to hear Brady. My wife and I went through the same thing late last year with our boy Cooper.

Rest easy knowing you gave her the best life and she crossed over knowing only love.

Sorry to hear of your loss @Bdubbs. I share your pain. Unfortunately, myself and many others like you have had to make this painful decision in the best interest of our beloved furry companions. Take it easy brother, this painful day will soon subside to 15 wonderful years of memories of joy and happiness you can cherish forever.

Thank you everyone.

I just got back from the shop, had a beer there. Had to get away for a bit. It's definitely hard, just get home and expect to see her laying in her favorite place....

Rip,
Yes it's the hardest part of a pet owner.

We had to put our girl down last year,
She sits on our mantle now.
We have another in our back yard.
We just got another back at Christmas
Rehomed a 2yr old male.
Sadly for neapolitan mastiff
Life is 8-10.

The memories and happy thoughts of them last a lifetime for us ,
