I'm glad they are finally doing it. Pity you won't be able to get one due to typical Ford dealer price gouging. I'd love to have this or the TRX before they get completely done away with it.

I'm also betting that Ram has a surprising waiting in the wings. It'd be easy to stick the Redeye, Demon, or Jailbreak versions of the Hellcat in the TRX.

I'm pretty sure Stellantis has put an end to that.

Eh, price "gouging" isn't just a Ford dealer issue.

All the domestics, and even Kia (telluride) have ADMs on every vehicle or select vehicles depending on the location.

What's going to make this unaffordable to most is the limited run aspect of this truck.
One thing if this was going to be a 3 year run at 5k each per year. Hell, I haven't even found how long they'll produce it but I doubt a lot will be made.

That's good.

I just helped a buddy sell a 22 TRX yesterday. He thought it was going to bring HUGE money. It was a level one with a few other options, stickered for $90,500. I moved it for him to a Ram dealer in Kansas for $95k.
That’s a lot for a level 1 truck. I personally think he did well.

ADM's on a Kia. What has the world come to?

Your government is lying to you

This shit was happening before the covid crazy too.

My wife wanted a Stinger pretty bad, one day we were driving by a dealer and she asked if we could test drive one.

They had 3 on the lot, one of them was used, they were asking $15k over on the new ones and the used one that had like 3k miles on it was $5k over. I asked the sales guy what's up with the ADMs on a kia. He said "we learned from our Genesis brand that people are willing to pay over MSRP." and I said "oh the stinger is a Genesis branded vehicle?" and he didn't reply to me.

To be fair, MSRP pricing on those was a decent deal at that time for that car but I couldn't shake the idea of picking up a used Chevy SS manual for the same amount.

I've owned two Genesis models. A 2019 3.3T G70 Prestige and a 2022 GV70 3.5T Prestige Sport. Paid sticker MSRP on both. I've seen many Genesis models at three dealerships, and none attach ADMs. I've never seen an ADM on a Genesis in my neck of the woods. And I bought by GV70 last July when vehicles were hard to come by. I'm not saying it can't happen. Just don't believe it is widespread.

Tempted to trade my gen2 on it but I like the styling of my gen2 way more.
The more I see the Gen3's on the road the more they grow on me. Just saw an Orange one last weekend, looked better than the black ones Ive seen so far.

Reading this thread confirms in my mind why I hate buying cars at dealerships. I'd love to see every dealership that places ADM on a specialty vehicle get allocation taken away.

On topic, can't wait to see the final version of the Raptor R.

Do you feel the same way about dealers who advertise and sell far below cost?

Curious to know what your thoughts are on dealers controlling the pricing model.

Well yeah obviously it's not everywhere. Out here we only had like 3 dealers in the state and they were all doing it.

Nick, have you considered opening up a dealership complex that sells every brand of vehicle? lol

10 years ago, I wanted to buy several stores.

Now, I would still be open to it, but the headache of dealing with the manufactures is incredible. Each have different guidelines, systems, etc. If I were to do that, I would need to do it as a Dealer Principal that has general knowledge of each department at each store, and not as a managing partner that has to partake in the day-to-day operations in each store. It would be too much.

Which leads to the problem, of enjoying the hands on part of the business. I wouldn't be opposed to buying more Ford stores, I could operate off site for the most part and it wouldn't be a problem.

The Gen 3 rear suspension is a huge upgrade of the previous models.

Buy my local dealership, their management is terrible.

My wife did say I could buy one if it's on the beach or in the mountains....

I'm more worried about the building, lot and flow haha She just wants the fun.

You could probably get cheap flights here on a budget airline, and I have a house I'll sell you...

That's an every day thing...

In reality her job watching the kids and keeping them away from pointy objects is probably as hard or harder than my job haha
agreed. It's just funny how people think if you have a business somewhere you like to vacation that "vacations" wont just become mostly work.

I have yet to ever encounter a dealer who sold far below cost… it just doesn’t exist. They may minimize their profit to move volume over smaller more profitable transactions but no dealer is selling anywhere close to a loss, or at least not if they want to stay in business.

Take a quick look at the ADM’s being added to special models and then show me any dealer offering the inverse… never seen it. Just looked up a Mach 1 with cloth seats, sticker is $55,040 and the dealerships has it listed for $66,235, $11,195 over MSRP… I have yet to see a dealer offer a new Mach 1 for $44,825…

To answer your question I would prefer to not see crazy deals or huge markups, I’d rather pay close to MSRP.
