Sonic Blue should definitely help with the price.

This one will be interesting to watch.

I’d love to have it for sure. That’s less miles than my current OW coupe. Don’t think my pocket will allow me to spend $45k or more. I’d bet she gets into the mid to high 40’s. It’s really clean.

The specs say the intake plenum was ported and polished, Brad. The exterior isn't polished, of course.

That is a fine Sonic Blue specimen. Nice middle of the road engine mods. I enjoyed the in-car video short ride. Oh did that bring back great memories and I swear my heartbeat increased a tad. I agree that the paint color will help this climb at least to $40K, and the super low miles and nice mods will help, too. Wonder what shifter brand the owner installed. I thought it was the factory shifter but the listing says the owner installed a short-throw shifter.

Jerad, I was just going to post that it sold for $50,500. Good money. Lo and behold, YOU bought it? Wow! Congratulations. Yeah, you reached deep for it, but it IS an awesome 10K mile Terminator, the color is sought after, and it's in really awesome condition. It got a lot of bids.

I didn't plan to really bid much beyond 45k and 50.5 was my last bid, I had actually closed my computer and walked away from it just to not be tempted. I *kinda* was hoping 50k would be the other guys braking point, guess I was right. In the end, doesn't really matter. I sold my 35k mi Sonic blue in 2020 when I picked up my GT500 CFTP because I was out of garage space. But we've moved and I missed that car too much. Now I have a nice example to drive and enjoy, can't put a price on that.
I called it for sure, I said it would be $45k or more. @JCDriller Congratulations on the Sonic Blue brother. Beautiful car.
I think in today's market 45-47 is where it should fall, may look a lot different in 6mo to a year assuming the used car market cools. But then again, they only made these for 2 years and it's a special make/model historically. Time will tell, I definitely purchased this car to drive on nice days and enjoy, milage be damned.

first of all, congrats on your car. you also bring up a lot of good points that i agree with.

purchases like this are about emotion and getting what you really want. money and haggling on price shouldn't really be part of the equation. (or at least the main part). this is not something you can just go find at any corner store. same thing if selling. if someone tries to lower the price on something like this i'd just assume that they don't really want it and say no thanks.

in 2012 i bought my 10.8k sonic blue coupe from a friend who was the original owner. he took immaculate care of the car from new and it was exactly what i was looking for. the $25k he was asking was on the high side at the time, but what i felt was still reasonable. might he have taken less, possibly, but to me it wasn't so much about the money. i appreciated his devotion to the car and how he took care of it. and ten years later, to this day i still feel so happy with the purchase. the fun and enjoyment i've had in the 75k miles since are, quite literally, priceless.

enjoy.

Your head/heart reasoning is legit. You're more than happy with your buy, and that's what matters. I think it's pretty cool that you originally owned a SB Cobra, had to sell it, wanted one again, and you ended up with this primo super low mile SB Cobra. I'm happy for you!

This is the one I sold, 35k miles sealed engine, e85 and a hair over 700hp. Built here on SVTperformance by @whitedevil95 It was fun, but without flex fuel I’m not going back to E85. My GT500 is at FatHouse getting their motec/whipple/FFRE built engine treatment, it’ll be flex fuel around 1300rwhp and scratch the crazy high performance itch.

I can see why you've been missing it. She was a beaut! Man, your GT-500 will be making around 1300rwhp on flex-fuel. That's awesome.

Yea I tried to buy it back several times, new owner was too happy with it.

These new GT500s are nuts. Plenty of guys with ported OEM blowers making 1100+. The DCT tuning is the current hold up. I don’t know of anyone who’s lost a DCT due to too much power, they are just finicky to launch with.

Lots of fun driving and I love the comfort and quiet mode on the exhaust, but there just isn’t that raw savage primal feeling that comes with a Terminator.

I know what you mean by "savage primal feeling" with a Terminator. Years back, when I had my '03 Cobra (making a paltry 505whp), I drove my son-in-law's 2008 stock Z06. The two were near equal, power wise, but the "feel" at WOT was totally different. The power delivery in the Z was more smooth whereas my Cobra's power delivery was BAM! As in more brutal. LOL. I miss it!

Congrats on the purchase!

It's definitely crazy jumping in a older car, then right after driving a newer one.

My 03 cobra is somewhere around the 700 rwhp (which isn't crazy nowadays) and it's down right violent compared to my 2019 GT 350. But both are very fun to drive in their own way.
