Think I’ll just go magnum after doing all the extra research since it’s more of a lifetime route. Any input on maybe my current trans not being bad since the grind happened twice and since then I tried recreating it and it did not happen again. Could it be a possible clutch or cable issue...
It seems like I’m leaning more toward the magnum but if a rebuild with the same reliability of a magnum and 26spline input shaft is going to cost the same or less I might go that route. This way I won’t require a new DS and I’ll have oem fitment.
What is better off in peoples opinions. I have 600+lbstq and I’m hoping to be around 800rwhp and 700ish tq. Currently I have a center force dual friction clutch and somehow it’s handling the power but 3rd gear is not allowing me to shift during pulls unless i slowly shift. Is there any good...
Maybe 4 years. Only about 1500 miles on them. I still have them just on another set of wheels and I wouldn’t drive on them the way I drive on the r888rs.
I had tqs until I bought new wheels which is when I got r888rs and I must say the r888rs actually hook way better than tqs. I’m at 700rwhp and the tqs would spin 2nd on a 50 pull but the r888rs hook. I personally love them and will be sticking to them.
They are extremely lightweight compared to my forgestar that were on the car.
I put on a 3mm spacer since supposedly it needs it for the rear to use the center caps but I could’ve ran without it but it was already in so I didn’t want to put in the work to remove it lol. But front sits inside...
Just seen lmrs kit for 17s with tires and they’re selling them with 315s. And only issue for cobras are the bolt and needing a 3mm spacer to fit on the center cap.
Weld Mustang RT-S Wheel & Tire Kit - 17x5/17x10 Black (94-04) Mickey Thompson ET Street S/S Tires
The current rubbing issue I have is actually the fenders hit. But it’s only on deep potholes. So it is on a rare occasion. It doesn’t seem like r888r comes in a 295 either. Might have to change the tire selection also. My irs seems to sit pretty even on both sides so I don’t have that issue...
Yup 18x9 can be used for rear without any problems if that helps for any one looking.
Doing a street setup with welds as all I see now on cobras is ccw classics and d110s. Wanted to 110s but it became the norm now too so wanted to do something different.
Trying to see if anyone is interested in one wheel. It’s new but I bought the wrong one and can’t return it. These are sized for stock brakes. They can be used in 13in big brake kits but require a 1/4in spacer or for the rears. I have 14in brakes and it doesn’t work out.
If someone buys it I...
Was just wondering if there was much of a difference from the factory bolt and would give enough clearance for wider tires. Found a Facebook post from them showing the actual size difference and its almost half the size lol. Placed an order since it would be same amount of clearance compared to...
Just pulled the trigger on some welds 18f/17r and was wondering what rear tire size do people recommend on a 10inch wheel. I have 18x10s in the rear right now with 315/35 but it has slight rubbing issues. Would it be worth it to go 315/35 on 17s or better off 305/35. Just looking for opinions...
Just an update. New alternator is in from ken and installed. No more light flickering on the car and it’s keeping constant voltage. So all good in my book for kens alternators.
Been googling and trying to find pics of a DSG cobra with carbon side scoops but no luck. Only found black cobras. Just wanted to get a outlook of what to expect if I buy a set. Thanks.
Not gonna lie Kenneth Miley jr has had one of the best customer service I’ve ever dealt with. Even though this first alternator has gave me slight issues, but things happen everything’s not perfect out there. We’ll see with the next one tho and I can get a solid review back.
Well just to update the bench test and on car test passed at Autozone but I had a local shop willing to do a free check also and had them do it. They said something about the there being ac ripple with the alternator and needs to be changed. So a new one is on the way. I guess 3rd times the...
If you don’t daily the car I don’t think you’ll have a problem with out of state registration. It’s only a problem if you’re driving it around all the time and the cops notice.
