What did you do for your Terminator today?

    Stalker. :)

    2001 Cobra SVT Starting issue

These pumps are pretty quiet. So you might not hear it. You might have to have someone listen by the tank. There's a check valve in the module that keeps the pressure up after you shut off the car. It's the PPRV. Next time you go to start it turn the key on a couple times before cranking it...

    Need some Advice on fueling

I ran the 80's on an old set up and they did ok. I found out some tricks to make them better. Having a larger engine definitely helped. But they were designed with racing in mind. For the 60's your tune needs to be tweaked. They should fire up like stock. Especially with pump gas. I haven't...

    99 Cobra what exhaust setup

No. I think the Bx line is aluminumized. Or something like that.

    99 Cobra what exhaust setup

Skip it. Trying to get stuff from Bassani is like pulling teeth anymore. And chances are for what they'd charge you, you would have been better off buying a new one.

How bad is the RST/RXT Marbles in transmission noise?

I was going to suggest that. But I wasn't sure if your mind was made up on the RXT. I've thought about switching to an RST whenever this one gives out since I rarely hit the track.

How bad is the RST/RXT Marbles in transmission noise?

Yeah. I think it's safe to say you'd only hear it if you're lugging the engine. And I'd say you'd really have to lug it. I've had this clutch for 8 years now and haven't heard anything I shouldn't have. When I've lugged the engine it's just the engine noises. I've heard. A quick downshift and...

How bad is the RST/RXT Marbles in transmission noise?

The only noise I've noticed is a hiss when I start rolling. But I really only hear it in the garage. I haven't noticed a box of marbles with mine. But I did just switch to a quieter exhaust so maybe I will. Though the other day I was rolling at 1500rpm with the wife because of traffic and I...

    Head cooling mod

For the one wanting to bury the speedo you could always get a tune that adds fuel and pulls timing to those cylinders on long pulls. I've seen it done for standing mile cars. And don't do pull after pull after pull. Friend of mine did that when these cars first came out and he smoked his engine...

    Rebuilding The Terminated Cobra1FAFP48Y43F309694

Last time I looked at BMR they still had issues with the K member. My friend had one of the first premium versions. It barely fit. Everyone else had the same problem. After waiting 6 months for an "updated" version we found the only difference was that they made the slots for the rear mounts...

    2.3L vs 2.9L Whipple recommendations

Depending on how you drive the stock clutch and input shaft will live for a long time behind a Whipple. If it's a cruiser with the occasional rolling hit, they'll last. 4k clutch dumps at the track....not so much. Fuel mods all depend on what fuel you'll end up running.

    Cobras in BaT

If I could actually get 40k for mine I'd have to do some serious soul searching.

    Cobras in BaT

It's really too bad I enjoy driving my cars.

    Head cooling mod

Guess I'm lame because I have no clue. My races are usually done by 130-140 which I can hit in 4th.

    Head cooling mod

I wouldn't recommend doing long 5th and 6th gear pulls. That's a lot of pressure on the engine. Best thing would be to pull the plugs after a pull and see how they look.

    Head cooling mod

I think that depends on the model you get. I'm one of the few that never did the cooling mod. I had DA heads in my 01 and never did the mod. My personal (unpopular I'm sure) opinion is that unless you're WOT every where or tracking the car the head cooling mod isn't totally needed. When I...

Help Terminator has a ticking sound after new install of timing chain parts

We all learned somehow. I managed to strip a hole when I was resealing my diff a couple weeks ago. After some expletives I went and picked up a helicoil set.

    Need some Advice on fueling

If you have the FIC's then I wouldn't even mess with the 80's. We're using FIC's in my son's car and they're nice. I had the 80's on a big bore set up and while they worked, they weren't as nice as the ID's and FIC's. I had one of the first units. There were some issues with it and they ended...

Where do you go from here?

IMO most sound horrible because the owners think loud is good. There are a lot of guys around here that basically run straight pipes thinking it makes them faster. But I know of a couple that sound decent. One guy swapped a Coyote into a 93 Cobra with a Whipple. It sounds good and is fast as hell.

    2.3L vs 2.9L Whipple recommendations

And anyone that catches that race won't have any clue what you were racing because no one will care about the quiet car.

    Removing Timing Cover

Holy necro thread. No reason to drain freon to pull the valve covers. I had to move the master cylinder and drop the k member a bit to get the driver side valve cover off.

JMO, but skip the 80's and go 1050X's. I have the MS3 and I'm really happy with it.

    2.3L vs 2.9L Whipple recommendations

I'm over 700 on a standard inlet. FWIW. I knew better then to play the step game when I bought this car. I had people asking when I was going to go ported, etc. I held off and did everything at once and I'm glad I did.

Is he selling a cat back or mid pipe? Big difference between the two.

Where do you go from here?

You should have the tuning device and wideband from the initial blower swap. So IMO that's a moot point. As for everything else, I just enjoy what I have. I've been beat by a newer GT500 and Terminator swapped fox. I posted the videos and laughed with everyone else. Then I drove my car and...
