nothing on the inside of the column since there is a u joint, but through the firewall i had to mount a plate with a bearing that moved the steering away from the cylinder head
That's a good idea, I'll try to work on this and host it on the website. ssengineeringllc does have an online store now, finally. I could 3D print templates and offer them as well. Hmmmmm
That logic is tough to apply since cobra calipers are externally the same size with two different piston sizes between the rears and also the 38mm vs 40mm rear calipers. Most of the fitment tightness for the ATS calipers is caliper face to the inside of wheel and in that area they are virtually...
I’ve had both in my hands and test fit a wheel that wasn’t fitting on the cobra R setup with an ATS. They are both about the same dimension width wise, cobra r is slightly smaller in terms of body since the fluid passages are internal on the ATS compared to cobra R.
Keep in mind the hoses are very dependent on the year of car (fox, sn, new edge). I’m not sure what you have but sn/new edge would be a standard replacement style hose where fox would be specific to the year and also sn95 caliper swap style hose.
3/16 spacer required (I sell laser cut versions for $35/pair shipped) the pad fits great on the OD of the rotor, they hang off on the ID. Will obviously push the wheels out a bit more, but it is overall a beefier rotor.
I appreciate your efforts on the above and beyond research you’ve done, it’s certainly helped me answer some questions that customers have had with my insert kit!
I definitely wouldn’t want to see the ears of these calipers with 5mm machined off them lol.
Just from the pictures i can tell on my pads the material is lower compared to yours, I’ll measure mine too in a few
I’m running Wagner ZX1050, granted probably not the best super duper performance pad but it’s what I bought when I was studying this setup as they were only $20. Seems maybe...
Measure the holes that the pad pins through through to the top of your material material. Maybe the pad material isn’t sitting at the same overall height as others compared to the holes that actually hold the pads in place
I was thinking the same, were yours oem or eBay? Seems like a 1-2mm difference I’d say. My car is on the lift I’ll measure mine to see what it is. I have a set of Brembo rotors too I wonder if they are larger?
