Id go with those team z foxbody springs, based on the weight of your car.
It would be nice if they told you the actual spring rate.
When something like a stock V6 SN95 or a stock 4 cylinder Foxbody rear spring, MIGHT do.
The above link is an ECM pinout for a 96 Mustang, but should be same for 97.
None of those in pic1 and 2 have anything to do with the O2 sensors.
not sure what the 2 wire plug in pic 1 is, but the two connectors in the second picture are for the smog/air pump.
The EVAP/charcoal box should...
You can use any year roller 5.0 engine.
Get the Wiring and computer from a 94-95 car (GT or Cobra) to make things that much simplified, use the accessories & brackets and distributor from a 94-95.
You can also use any year Explorer 5.0 engine(gt-40 heads and intake).
Congrats on saving a Cobra!
This.
Move it up somewhere in the 10 o clock to 2 o clock range. or straight up and down in the 12 o clock, IF there is room.
The Bosch LSU 4.9 sensors are very sensitive to thermal shock. I just went through the same thing last week. Not even 50 miles on the sensor that came with my AEM...
NGK or Motorcraft.
I used to run Taylor Spiro Pro 8mm. Switched to NGK, maybe placebo, but it felt like the engine ran better. The Taylor's were maybe 2 years old.
Put a front sway bar back in it. Use the Prothane 19-408BL end links if the car is lowered.
I believe the standard non adjustable Team Z a-arms have a mounting tab for the
sway bar end links.
They also sell a beefier "auto cross" style A-arm. If you want to upgrade...
"After a 5.3-second 1/8-mile pass during the Mod Nationals, his Cobra became the quickest modular engine car in the world running only with a belt-driven supercharger."
Outstanding! Not even a cog belt, but a serpentine belt!
Congratulations!!
What style distributor is it? Is the TFI Module on the distributor or on the passenger side fender apron?
94-95 distributors had a common problem with the PIP sensor (distributor pickup sensor) inside the distributor going bad. If you do replace the PIP, use a Motorcraft/Ford piece, part number...
It can work. Treat the aviator engine as a "long block" and swap everything else over.
Its been a few years, but Im not sure if you need to swap the timing covers as well.
