Updates coming soon***
The expedition is sitting @ MPR in Henderson nv getting the final assembly. Hoping to have it on the dyno by the end of the month, fingers crossed...
2 months after I bought my SD, a teenager pulled out in front of me. I was cruising at about 50mph. I hit her at around 35-40pmh... her insurance payed out for me and my wife... her Vw bug was crushed...
As capable as these trucks are, I would never want to tow 40k! The truck simply isn't heavy enough to control that load... and sadly I HATE the front grill and headlights! Everything else looks pretty awesome though...
Sadly you guys aren't wrong. The epa isn't likely to ease up anytime soon. They know the diesel owners have money, and I'm sure they plan to squeeze out as much as possible. I'm moving to TX at the end of the month. And when I get situated I'm still gonna delete my 6.7
I'm currently in las...
I beat the $hit out of this truck! Race it jump it, rip it through the nevada desert, tow 14k trailer... I have other toys, but the superduty gets abused like everything else! How do you know what it's made of if you don't break it and build it back stronger???
Damn thing is expensive...
I'll agree that the pistons will likely outlast the rest of the truck...
But diesel is far from over. Once that puppet is out of office things will change for the best...
I'm surprised that more people haven't recognized the power potential of these motors???
With 29k psi of fuel pressure and the steel pistons, this thing is ready for serious power... if I were to guess, I bet 1000rwhp + is possible with just a tune...
I should have took a pic of my cabin filter... it was literally filled with tiny little black bugs... tripped me out 4a while. Not cool!
I mean top 2bottom filled... 10k+ bugs
Lol...
I'm aiming for Trackhawks and Hellcat Durangos.... but I'm sure the sting is gonna be extra bad for the muscle car group...
Thanks for the words of encouragement!
I've decided to order this On3 6" performance intercooler for the build. I felt the 4" piping would bottle neck at the 3" procharger ic... now the induction system should be complete!
Thank for the support bro! My boy's were a lot of my motivation for building the expedition! They have a pretty vast knowledge of all sorts of cool automotive info. My 9and 11yr old frequent car shows with me; the look on people face when my boy's roll up asking what size pulley you got, and how...
The phasers usually always get completely locked out in max effort builds. Locking out/ eliminating the Vct phasers is achieved by adding a perfectly fitting spacer inside the oem phasers not allowing them to phase. In high tq motors those phasers have been known to explode... it's best to keep...
It's currently lifted 3" with 33x12.5r20. The brakes are Powerstop drilled/slotted rotors, extreme zpads.
future plans include a roll cage and 6 harnessed seats. Some day might come when I return it to stock lift and drop a 4x4 drag pack on it...
