Correct but you don’t have to sand the plastic to do it. And the prep isn’t like a fender or pannel or bumper or hood sand clear once its sprayed
Nope never sanded the plastic ever. Had my 2001 done over 10 years ago still looks new.

No sanding or anything to get smoothed. My uncle has got some process he does for plastic. Simple and easy like painting a fender
