    Power steering fitting confirmation

So I cleaned it all off nice nice and turned the steering column a few times. I don't immediately see anything leaking or suggesting that. Maybe I did a bit of overthinking on it.

    Power steering fitting confirmation

Hmm I guess now the question is why they leaking. The car has been under repair for awhile now so it's not like I can test it for it atm. Any other thoughts

    Power steering fitting confirmation

Hope everyone's having a great weekend so far. I need confirmation on something. While doing an oil pan gasket with the k-member lowered I noticed fluid around 2 Power Steering lines. They appear to be pushing fluid thru the fitting nut similar to a bad flare brake line leaking. Took a closer...

    Driveshaft counterweight

Hey guy I know this topic has been covered in the past but I'm looking for current feedback in 2024 and not from dead posts that nobody replied to after posting once. Are there any real repercussions from removing the 10lb counterweight+brace that allegedly removes vibration from the...

    Inner tie rod ends

I'm glad you mentioned that. I didn't wanna say nothing to seem bias. Awhile back I replaced a bunch of suspension/steering components on my 7.3 Powerstroke cause everyone said Moog was great. Parts didn't even last 2y. Absolute garbage and then I saw post few years back saying exactly what you...

    Inner tie rod ends

I recently discovered while under the car that my inner tie rod ends are bad. They have noticeable play up/down & side to side with metal clacking sound while my bumpsteer ends remain firm no movement. Whats the go-to brand for inners. The 2 names that stand out are MOOG and Motorcraft...

    Thoughts on Cadillac Brembos

Think I may hold off then. Seems like it's more for the visual appeal than performance.

    Thoughts on Cadillac Brembos

Options change with the times and I recently saw people swapping to Cadillac 4 puck Brembo calipers on their New Edges. I was wondering if anyone here tried this on their Cobra and if they saw a worth wild improvement over racing rotor & pads. I currently run EBC dimple slotted rotors w/ EBC...

    Clutch fork bottoming out

I'm absolutely exhausted but I made a lot of progress today. I was a bit detailed for whomever may be reading this in the future some day. I ended up cutting 1/2" off the Pivot stud which allowed the option to get it completely screwed in. I also cut the stopper for the Fork (bump stop). I...

    Clutch fork bottoming out

I need some advice I'm currently at a crossroad and not sure what course of action to take. In my last post I was struggling with a pivot stud issue with my RXT twin disc clutch. I made necessary adjustments and bench tested travel with a micrometer. I'm now faced with a unforseen clearance...

    Pressure plate question

When you say shaved pivot ball you mean cutting and shortening the threads. I originally had to do a Rear main seal but was experiencing shifting troubles related to clutch engagement and noticed possibly never fully disengaging. Which lead me here.

    Pressure plate question

I'll respond to everyone's message individually. But here's what I found today. I loosened the PP bolts to re-torque @ 35 ft/lbs star pattern. By doing this the inner tips of the clutch fingers went from protruding 7.1mm~ above the diaphragm ring to now roughly protruding 3.5mm which is not much...

    Pressure plate question

I did. But previously I was experiencing "weird" clutch issues to the point where when I did my Rear main seal I wanted to retrace my footsteps to insure the clutch and all aspects of were done correctly. Which is where I'm at now.

    Pressure plate question

Good info. The fingers did flatten out vs sitting on the bench. But is it possible when installing to torque spec it somehow didn't flatten the fingers correctly? Not exactly sure how since I did star pattern & to Tq spec. I took a look at that and wondered if aftermarket forks were low-profile...

    Pressure plate question

Interesting. Can you elaborate or is it idiot proof and to recheck. I thought I put it on correctly but it seems to push out slightly once I seat the fork on the pivot. I swapped out TOB for new.

    Pressure plate question

My bad. It means the stud itself is bottomed out in the transmission. This leaves some length of threads showing before the actual ball. I could measure if need be.

    Pressure plate question

I don't see many posts here anymore but figured I'd ask anyways. I'm working with a McLeod RXT Twin disc 26 spline. The clutch kit itself is a couple years old but only has 2 or 3k on it and plates appear to have little to no fade. My issue is when I put my transmission back in and put my...

    RXT adapter ring

Apparently I didn't look Yeah. I saw that. Then did some deep digging. Even cross verified against GT500s and GTs. It appears to be like you said, 35 Ft/lbs.

    RXT adapter ring

Can someone please tell me what the heck the torque specs are for the "Gold" adapter ring that bolts directly to the flywheel on the RXT McLeod. I can't find the number anywhere even in searches and videos since newer designs don't use them.

    Rear main seal question

As the title says. Where's everyone getting their "Oil Singers" for the rear main seal. My new main seal didn't come with and after deep search I found conflicting answers. And it seems Ford doesn't even offer the part, nor does any sub genuine retailer. I can't be going crazy... Is there a more...

Rear differential caged bushing removal question

So I'm trying to remove the old stock Rear differential bushing/cage housing that the diff cover bolts to. It's still stuck in the IRS. Can someone please tell me whats the trick to removing it? I don't want to jump the gun resorting to a pry bar. Bolt behind the tie-rod is removed...

Anyone tried Lubelocker Diff cover gaskets??

See that's what I thought as well but the reviews are virtually all positive. Think I might actually try it.
