Great topic! I’ve always really liked the Alien series. David was extremely interesting in Prometheus/Covenant, and I really enjoyed seeing the history leading up to the xenomorphs.
Don’t forget about Alien vs Predator. I’d like to see predator make another appearance!
Yes the Robur is big and weighs 70 lbs....does that make it anti theft? The Amber timer really helps to grind the near perfect amount. I usually drink 3 triples (21 gram) per day, so the waste is minimal.

I voted the gt500 with snow tires. I discarded #2 because it sounds like you really like your gt500 and working on it. Regarding #1 to buy the truck, why buy another depreciating asset that you have to maintain and pay taxes on? To be fair, I have no idea about your financial situation as to...
I’m 38, also contribute, and am not planning on touching the money for a couple decades. I remember looking at my contributions and balance (declining) in 2008 and being discouraged, and it’s like that now. In times like these, stocks are on sale and there are good opportunities. I already...
I had some problems somewhat similar to yours years past. I replaced the fuel pressure sensor, CCRM, fuel filter, plugs, maybe some more stuff. I could never get the car to start and run reliably, so I never backed it out of the garage. What was wrong with mine was that I had unplugged some...
Hey guys, I was attempting to change the inter cooler fluid. Prior to draining anything, I pulled the relay by the intake, and was able to jump the pump. Fluid was swirling in the reservoir, and the I heard the pump. Next, I pulled the lower h/e hose to drain fluid, filled the reservoir, and...
Are you referring to Eslick’s 2009 Daytona SportBike championship? The class where an 1125cc Buell was allowed to compete with 600cc in-line 4’s? I knew people that raced Buells due to their good contingency...the valves and pistons were best buds.
Everything that goes in the mountain comes off, including human waste. On Denali climbers are required to use “clean mountain cans”, or CMC. These are handed out by the ranger station in Talkeetna that all climbers are required to register through. However, climbers are allowed to throw human...
Denali (or similar) is usually a prerequisite for Everest or a few other 8000m. I would like to do at least one 8000m. I had a guide (who died on Nanga Parbat last year) adamantly recommend Manaslu as a first 8000m, but I’m not really comfortable with the death ratio. Cho Oyu is most likely...
98% of the West buttress route is snow/ice, with crevasse danger all the way up. There are some rocks on the spine of the west buttress between 16-17k. I primarily used snow shoes until around 11k, then switched to crampons for the rest of the way.
We had relatively good weather all the way to 14k ft, and didn’t have to take any weather days. We heard of a few cases of frostbite on the face from other teams going around windy corner. Once we were established at 14k, the weather took a turn for the worse. A low pressure system moved in...
I’m 37 and have been mountaineering 3 years. I went with Alpine Ascents out of Seattle. Being fit is a lifestyle for me, so I didn’t do anything special to prepare for Denali, other than minimize risks as much as possible to show up to the climb healthy. This was an extremely physically...
Thought I’d share a few pictures from my Denali expedition. I set a goal 3 years ago to climb Denali, and finally made it happen.

I have them on my daily (Chevy SS), and am also eager to swap off my winter tires. That being said, I’ve now seen the light and will have snow tires on ANY future vehicle.
I had this happen on a rear, and bought a tool that was like a socket, but instead of the square inner, it was round to perfectly fit a drill bit. The tool worked great and I had the lug nut off in minutes. However, I can't track down his website, but I was able to find the patent. The guys...
Indeed, a quick google search on 'bilstein hd impact wrench' shows many posts saying to never use an impact on the struts. Should have taken the time to look that up.
I put an impact on it, and saw the spacers slightly rotate, so I believe the nut coming slightly loose was the problem. However, I'll wait a week or two before declaring victory. Hopefully the nut being loose didn't cause too much damage to the spherical bearing long term.
