Personally, I’m glad it didn’t work out for you on this one. Just too many red flags. Maybe look for an ultra high mileage (120k+) GT500 that has been well maintained?
History made this weekend!! Congrats to Garrett Leach for running a 9.35 ET with his Eaton/nitrous powered 03' Cobra. His 149.83 MPH is the fastest time in history by a wide margin! He has been added to the list on the first post of this thread
DETAILS! - MACA 20th Reunion
Hey Folks! Sincerely apologize for the delay in getting you more information on this event. Jan and I are moving back to Maryland (Eastern Shore) next week and this process has kinda dominated my life for the last couple of months! Great time for a MACA GTG because I...
The 13/14’s are not dropping in price. They pretty much going for what they went for brand new. Not an option unless you have 55k.
I’d be weary of the Whipple. Just can’t be sure about its build or usage. Be better off getting a 2007-2012 for the price/mileage/condition/maybe mods that you’re...
In most cases, Headers will not increase your peak RWHP much at all. What they will do is to maintain your peak power levels in the higher RPM ranges. If you’re a track junkie and are looking to hit a number, they would be a good addition.
Definitely not a great bang for your buck mod though...
Very nice! Congrats! I think you're really going to love the GT500. Better technology, much more cabin space, handles similarly, but rides better.
I did pretty much the same thing in 2010 as you are now: went from a decently modified 03' Cobra to a bone stock 2007 GT500. And the GT500 was a...
While a lot of folks have posted what they paid for their Cobras decades ago, OP asked about the "last couple of years", which is when the prices went up significantly. Good topic and interesting to find out if these asking prices over the last three years are really fetching that kind of cash...
I apologize for missing this! List edited. Thanks for posting up.
Have a few other additions to the list as well. Garrett Leach continues to really push the envelope with his Eaton setup, both with and without nitrous.
If you’re going to be doing a lot of highway driving, just remember that the .63 6th gear in your tranny ain’t going to be much fun if cruising at high speed. Ask me how I know. Lol
Awesome! Congrats. You got yourself one nice performance car there. Very similar situation to mine back in the day. Sold my highly modified Cobra for a bone stock 07’ GT500. The Shelby felt like a total dog. Added 3.73 gears, 2.50” upper pulley, CAI, and a tune, and all was right with the...
3,460 race weight. No sir, he is not on here. Facebook is the "hot" spot nowadays.......
Garrett's basic mods:
• Stock unported Eaton 2.76/stock lower
• Ported throttle body
• C&L intake
•20 year old 4AN wet kit from a foxbody .060/.033 jet
• 7 gallon ice tank with rule 2000 pump
• Odyssey...
