There is something to be noted with this statement. The 1000ftlb number ford gives you is at the crank, the 7.3s 600ftlbs is at the rear wheels, this narrows the margin some. The early 6.7s were about 640ftlb to the wheels.
How long before ford supercharges one factory and throws it in the Raptor? Im real interested to see how it will handle towing 20k over a extended period of time, if they can get the heat under control it will be a home run imo.
Unofficially 27HP and 38tq on 87octane..So that would make it approx 457hp and 513tq, these are the numbers I think most were expecting to see from the factory. Will be fun to see what they come up with on 93octane.
With the 4.30 and 10spd the final ratio is almost the same as the 3.73 with the 6spd. I don't know why anyone wouldn't go with the 4.30s when you have a 10spd.
I'm sure this thing is detuned, they just needed to make more power then the competition for now. It will get turned up over time as pressure increases from the compitition and as a incentive to upgrade in the future. I bet it's 450hp 500+tq within a few yrs. It will be fun to see what kind of...
Where's your sense of adventure!
Star white looks pretty close to platinum white, maybe a little more pearl in it or something. It's nice to see a new shade of blue in a SD, blue jeans has been around quite awhile and was about as much maintenance as black.
Never said the GT was over rated. Ford should care, they should make a stamped chassis version of the GT,mass produce it and sell a pile of them for people to actually enjoy. Like GM is going to do with the new C8. Ford had a chance to rival corvette and they didn't jump on the opportunity.
Except the C8 is 1/5 the price... Ford needs to give us a GT without all the carbon fiber and high dollar little race pieces that a average person can afford and drive. GM just proved it can be done.
