I am/was... so that's good to know.
I think from this thread i'll pass and look for something else, most likely back to a 94/95 5.0 of some kind. Unless I can find a good deal on a fox.
I appreciate all the input from everyone.
Just for reference here's like one of the very few Terminators in my area thats a vert and has roughly the same mileage. Must be a SoCal premium thing.

I haven't. Unfortunately I don't see any opportunity to do so either. Can you expand on what you mean? Are you referring to how the power gets put down? Handling? All of the above?
I had an engine built for my fox... 331ci all forged internals, TFS H/C/I, the works. That car was probably a low...
All great points. I did do some more research and I still feel like even verts are going closer to $30k in my area (the very few Terminators even available). I'm not saying any of you are wrong and i'm not just tossing your advice out the window, but I think what my biggest concern is the...
It had to have been a dark green 95GT as I didn’t buy my red fox body until I left for college after that. But yes it was missing some bolts and I actually broke down on the way home haha! I did have a red fox body so I’m sure that was me but maybe I’ve posted a lot since then about that fox...
Thanks again for more great replies. Waiting on more photos because as you can all see I don’t know exactly what he’s talking about with the pulley situation. I’m also new to supercharged cars, I’ve never owned one so I’m not 100% familiar with the terminology on what pulley is doing what lol...
Blower is not ported. He probably is referring to power at the crank.
He is definitely not shady, lol. I 100% trust he's being honest with what he tells me and wouldn't sell me something iffy. Reason for selling is he's retiring in March and has like 5 vehicles already.
Oh and this would not...
I've been through the process of buying an out of state car. Last year we bought my grandpas Lexus from Iowa. Had to take it to the DMV for visual inspection and then SMOG it... but obviously that was a completely stock car. This one could be a little more tricky.
I actually just asked him that a couple minutes ago as I also just thought of that potentially being an issue. I may need to swap the upper pulley back to a stock one.
I'll do my research on that process but i'm assuming its just a pulley swap and longer belt?
Also just popped into my head...
To everyone, thank you for the great replies.
I'll ask why he replaced the top and carpet. He lives in Southern Oregon on a hillside, so definitely no 'flooding'. Maybe the old top leaked a little... i'll find out.
I trust that the car has been taken care of mechanically. In his message to me...
Hello, my uncle is selling his 2004 Cobra convertible. He’s offered to give me a little bit of a family discount at $25k.
The car is a black on black convertible with ~65k miles. It comes with a second set of wheels/tires. They are OEM style but deep dish and I believe 18’s. It has an upper...
No updates. I'm still in the market to buy another Fox and am brainstorming the route I want go. If i learned anything from my last Fox, it's have a plan and stick to it. I was young and dumb and re-did a lot of things because i changed my mind or just didn't thoroughly plan out the build.
What else is done to it to warrant 47lb injectors? Your other two mods are pretty straight forward. Remove old/stock part and replace with new/aftermarket part. 70mm throttle body is a good all around size. If you're otherwise stock though i'd rethink those injectors.
Ya i'm thinking with my past experience with TFS products i'll probably just stick with them. Those are impressive numbers! I had my old 5.0 dyno'd stock and it put down like 195hp/260tq IIRC. Then I did the top end kit, then I did the 331 stroker... never found out the final numbers though.
Hello,
I'm in the planning stages of my next project Fox Body. I don't even currently have a car but want to get a solid budget laid out for each aspect of the car i want to upgrade. My big question for this thread is which top end kit is the best bang for my buck?
I previously had a 1990 fox...
Because you have CAD access/experience you could buy a 3D printer and make some cool inventions. I have one and not only does thinking of ideas keep my brain creativity going, its challenging and fun as well.
My ABS light came on the other day and now is on at all times when the car is running. From doing research on the internet, it seems like everyone suggests actually going to the dealer to get it diagnosed. Is this true? I have no issues with the braking system that I know, everything seems to...
I want to start pricing together all the parts i'll need to do a clutch replacement in my 98 Cobra. Anyone have recommendations for decent shops to do the work. I'm less concerned about price and more concerned it gets done correctly by people who know what they're talking about. I work near Pro...
I created a thread in the Road Kill section about racing an E46 M3 recently. What I didn't mention is at the top of 3rd and 4th, I was hearing pinging, as in detonation. My car is completely stock, like down to stock mufflers and intake tube. I just rolled over 86k miles today. As far as the...
