I like the idea of the spring and elastomer combined on the XP1…seems like a good method to replicate brake pressure variances.
You have the V3s also, right? Did you find it was easier/more precise to trail brake with the XPs?
One of my favorite races of the year …Damn work firewall keeping me from watching. I can see the standings but that doesn’t mean much when I can’t see/ know strategies, driver swaps, pit stops, etc.
Looks like 01 Caddy is out of contention… was my pick to win GTP, especially with their driver...
I’ve been very impressed with my Simagic gear so far (wheels and DD) and have been eying the P1000 w/hydro and P2000s, as much as I didn’t want to dive into another ecosystem. I’ve heard they are definitely better than the Fanatec gear …
I have the inverted V3s w/Perf Kit and they are decent...
No mistake - it was a joke though…
iRacing is all subscription based. Stop paying the bill and you won’t have access to the game or all the content you purchased.
So one thing I noticed is that all the T45 shops that I’m semi-familiar with sell RAM clutches
D&D, ProMotion, Pro-Force (formerly T45 Source), and Hanlon all carry RAM; some exclusively.
Decent clutch?
Not sure it matters, but was eyeing McLeod since I could get clutch, flywheel, fork, etc...
Yeah the perf brake kit is a huge improvement and should come with the pedals imo.
I messed around with a Gomez at my local Microcenter…seems like a really high quality piece.
Do you have the Podium shift kit on your v2.5? I’m not sure how a true race car floppy paddle feels, but I still...
I almost went with Trak Racer years ago, but at the time there were numerous complaints about the bad packaging resulting in lost/loose hardware and scratched profiles. Seems like they still have work to do…that aside, I’ve heard they are really great products. I think you’ll really like having...
Time for a new clutch for a mildly modded, mostly street-driven Cobra. Car does see some road course work (200 tread wear), occasional hole shots, and very infrequent trips to the dragstrip on street tires (no drag radials).
Should be a straightforward (single disc) clutch replacement unless I...
I’m running inverted V3s with damper kit and the performance brake kit. I think mine are set to almost the hardest setting.
Definitely don’t skimp out on the brake kit…I just wish it was easier to swap out to change the feel. Damper kit? Eh, it’s alright. Oh, and I don’t think the vibration...
Well looking at the Trak Racer set up, the front mount has the DD sitting a bit farther back than the side mount…depending on your monitor placement, maybe that plays a role?
I did notice that on the TR, the same alum profile is used on both front and side mount, which can be good if you’re...
To be fair, and coming from a “definitely not a Lance Stroll fan”, he was damn quick in F4 and F3 so certainly no slouch.
But you’re right, having financial backing GREATLY increases one’s chances of success in racing. I’d be curious how much someone like Kurtz or Keating have shelled out over...
I usually root for State when it comes to the Rocky Mountain Showdown, but this time I was pulling for the Buffs.
One good thing that Prime is providing (along with all the rappers and celebrities that showed up last night) is national level attention to the program. With that brings higher...
I rocked the G920 for a while and it served me well. Most of my gear was piecemealed together over time.
I’m sure I get my butt kicked by folks on Logitech gear all the time…my motto is “Look Pro, Go Slow”, but as long as I’m having fun…
I too made some upgrades to the rig.
Gave my son the Fanatec Clubsport v2.5 wheel base and picked up a Simagic Alpha U direct drive base, as well as a GT4 wheel. Also ended up getting a wheel hub and added a Ford Racing wheel.
Still rocking the VR, but I’d like to try triples at some point...
