I'm pretty sure I've liked all these pics on Instagram already, but I just found this, and of course, I'm still in awe of your car. I love the Weld's too. I was leaning towards getting a set of TF Sleepers for my car eventually, but I may have to copy this wheel set-up you have here. I'm sure...
Congrats!, and +1 what Bdubbs said. I drive mine to work almost daily, and it's pullied. I don't think I'd enjoy it as much if it wasn't. I'm in the Houston area, but maybe I'll see you around whenever I take the Cobra down to San Antonio.
I'm also jelly; I would love to own a GT500 and a...
I just ordered the last two Motorcraft WW2025 Wipers they had for the closeout sale, and some valve cover gaskets and seals. I was lucky enough to pick up some new OEM wipers off EBay a few months ago, so I'm hoping I get lucky again. I have ordered what was supposed to be OEM wipers before...
I used Pen Fed to buy my Cobra a few years ago, and I've been extremely satisfied with them so far. They'll go up to 110% of book value (clean retail value), and I think they use NADA. If I remember correctly, they'll finance any car with less than 100k miles for up to 5 years. I got the loan...
I'm running Toyo R888's, and I have no issues, but I'm only making 467hp/470tq. When I bought the car, it had Nitto 555r's, but they were worn down, and it would spin every now and then if I wasn't careful. Sounds like you just need to get a new set of tires.
Nice looking car by the way...
The Bassani x-pipe has cats installed for now (have off-road flowtubes to swap them out). When I had the pro chamber on it, I also had flowmaster mufflers with a stock catback. With the Bassani cats on and the baffles in the Bassani 4" tips on too, it's ALOT quieter than the off-road pro...
I've had a Mac Prochamber on my car since I bought it a few years ago, and I just recently finally installed a Bassani x-pipe and catback. The Prochamber had a great sound, but it was too loud for me. I love the way the Bassani x-pipe and catback sounds, but there are a few times when I miss...
Another vote for the Toyo R888 305/35/18. It is what I'm running on a 10.5" tire, and the fit is perfect. If you haven't yet, roll the fenders. It might not be necessary, depending on how high it sits in the rear, but I'd rather roll them and not worry about cutting into a new tire.
I had the exact same issue when I bought my car with it being so low I scraped on just about everything (Eibach springs in rear, stock cut in front), and I wanted to raise it just like you. Go with H&R Race Springs all around, and either stock iso's or MM iso's (Prothane poly iso's). I think...
If you want to drop the car really low and have 18x11's out back, you will most likely have to roll the fenders or you will risk rubbing or even cutting into your new tires with the rear fenders. When I first bought my car, it was dropped pretty low on cut springs in the front and Eibach...
I checked out the link. Bookmarked it for future reference. I also just measured, and it is indeed a "small case" unit, so it most likely is going to be a 105amp version. Oh, well, I'll get this one installed and see how long it lasts, but I'm definitely going to keep the old one and have it...
I never heard of that with the Aeroforce gauges. I'm planning on getting one for the car, but right now I can read the voltage off the Pioneer stereo in the car. It has a screen with a few gauges, and I have one set for the voltage. I'll have to check this out when I do get an Aeroforce gauge...
I didn't want to spend that much just yet on an alternator, so I picked up an upgraded 130 amp Ford Reman. alternator for ~$130 + $75 core charge from Autonation Ford White-Bear Lake (they are a vendor here). I have it on standby for now, but I'm probably going to install it in a month or so...
The switch was in 99. 94-98 'stangs had a true black interior. I have a 98GT, and the interior is a true black color. In 99, they went to a charcoal. I believe the color is called Midnight Black according to Ford. The only thing I can think of as far as why they went from a true black...
I'm running almost the same set-up as you, only difference is I'm using stock balljoints instead of X2's, and I don't have a bumpsteer kit on yet. I didn't go with the X2's because the H&R Race Springs are not that drastic of a drop. Pretty sure you can use either balljoint (I have X2's on my...
I'd check to see if the tires are balanced, and maybe even check the rims. It sounds like it is something going on with one of your tires and/or rims.
I've looked at getting some equipment to do my own alignments. I'm curious to see what you bought.
I don't know how legit it is, or the quality, but I've come across an aftermarket version recently for around $200+shipping. Might try them out later this year.
If you still want a lowered look, then you may want to consider putting in a set of H&R Race Springs with MM Isolators instead of going back to a stock ride height. It will give you a drop over stock, but not nearly as low as other springs. I have this set-up and love it. Has a lowered look...
I ordered a Ford Reman Alternator, part # 2R3Z-10V346-BDRM, recently because of some fluctuations with the voltage. It is an upgraded 130 amp alternator. Price with a $75 core charge and shipping from Autonation Ford White Bear Lake (Tousley) was cheaper than my local Ford dealer by a long...
Never thought of that before. Might need to pick some up to put on the cats and flo-tubes so I can swap them out easier. Is it a spray?
I think LMR carries the Bassani SS one piece O/R x-pipe.
I tend to think of the GT500's as one group, because they all share a similar formula of a supercharged 5.4/5.8 engine. Sure, the body style changed, along with other things, but they were tweaks here and there. The 03-04 Cobra is essentially the grandfather of them, and I can see why they are...
