    Front Door Speaker Upgrade

I agree the upgraded sound from the Shelby Kicker speakers is well worth it. I created a video on changing out the door speaker to the Shelby 8" Kicker version if it helps anyone as well:

Selling 01' COBRA, but test drives for a stranger??

Lots of good advice so far ^^^ thank you. Anyone here concerned with taking a stranger along for a test drive (I'm driving), and have some idiot try to carjack? It's kind of a vulnerable position.

Selling 01' COBRA, but test drives for a stranger??

I'm getting ready to sell my 01' COBRA soon as a private sale, but I'm super weary of allowing test drives. My last 2 Mustangs and the upcoming one I'm buying I've practically bought sight-unseen, so I'm not making a double standard. These cars are specialty and interested parties should know...

What happened to the Kenne Belle Supercharger Kit for 99-01 COBRAs?

Well I decided to call Kenne Bell and got the inside scoop from their technical support. They did discontinue the 01' SC kit. The reason was that they bought a lot of the parts directly from Ford for the 03-04 COBRA to assemble the 99-01' kit, and when Ford discontinued the Terminator and those...

What happened to the Kenne Belle Supercharger Kit for 99-01 COBRAs?

Anyone know what happened or why Kenne Belle discontinued their supercharger kit for the 99-01 COBRA? As I understand it was just an 03 Kit SC, with about 1k in extra parts to make it compatible. I really like the look of this style of supercharger setup. I know one can do a 03-04 Eaton swap, or...

Ticking sound coming from bottom of engine compartment

My 01' COBRA has always made that ticking sound on the passenger side, and have zero issues overall. HP is strong, car runs amazingly well. I hear it most with the hood popped, and my ear near the motor. I used to worry about these things more often, but to me if the car is running really well...

Series of repair videos helpful to New Edge COBRA owners

LOL that is a nice list! On this one, "Dash removal...for heater core/evap replacement." - that seems like a hefty job, ever had to remove the dash?

Series of repair videos helpful to New Edge COBRA owners

I've been putting together a series of videos that are probably helpful to New Edge COBRA owners with things like brakes, alternator, hood struts, cross axis joints, and a few other random vids. I'm not sure how to share this info to this community. If there is a better place let me know, but...

Clutch Pedal has wayyyyy too much play in it after UPR quadrant and firewall adjuster

I have the Ford Racing clutch quadrant, and this particular kit does not come with spacers or washers, and doesn't indicate to use them. However, they really are needed to take up the slack on that post, or you'll get extra vibration in the pedal at rest. I just got some metric washers from Ace...

How to replace the IRS Cross Axis Joints using the Full Tilt Boogie Kit on a Mustang COBRA

Hello after going through the process to replace the cross axis joints on my 01' COBRA, I decided to help anyone in the future, and made a video on my YT channel on exactly how this is done. Hope it helps others! How to replace the IRS Cross Axis Joints using the Full Tilt Boogie Kit on a...

What bushing is this on the rear of an 01' COBRA?

I did successfully remove and replace the cross axis joints with the Full Tilt Boogie Kit. This thread was helpful and I appreciate all the answers. To help anyone in the future I made a video on my YT channel on exactly how this is done. Hope it helps others! How to replace the IRS Cross Axis...

Drilling through metal for broken bolt on control arm using a cobalt bit not working

Unfortunate on my car the lateral movement is making all sorts of noises from the cable not being secured (inside the car at the ebrake) or I would have done this and called it a day.

Drilling through metal for broken bolt on control arm using a cobalt bit not working

@Fat Boss - It's a Milwaukee Cobalt Bit. Also, can't the bits be sharpened on a grinder?

Drilling through metal for broken bolt on control arm using a cobalt bit not working

@Dave.O - thank you a couple of questions. What speed and torque setting should I use (roughly) on my handheld drill or should I use my 1/2" electric hammer drill instead? The cobalt drill bit I bought was new, do those dull out quickly?

Drilling through metal for broken bolt on control arm using a cobalt bit not working

I have an 01' Cobra and when working on the rear suspension had removed the emergency brake cable mounting bracket and small bolt that is attached to the bottom of the lower control arm. Well the bolt snapped off, and all my attempts using bolt extracting techniques failed, and so I decided to...

What bushing is this on the rear of an 01' COBRA?

For my knowledge please if I ever had to do that, does the shock recoil hard (i.e. is it compressed) or it just can be unbolted directly without any issues?

What bushing is this on the rear of an 01' COBRA?

So I got the parts from FTB this past weekend and you were right; it was a lot easier to disassemble than expected thus far. The only snag I hit was the small 8mm bolt that held the parking brake cable to the spring mount snapped off when I tried to remove so I have another project to drill out...

What bushing is this on the rear of an 01' COBRA?

Well you all convinced me to get the FTB axis kit :) I'm not sure why it was $20+ for the cheapest shipping as it will probably weigh less than 5 pounds but oh well. American Racing doesn't sell them anymore either, so not much of an option. They were expensive so hopefully it's worth it. The...

What bushing is this on the rear of an 01' COBRA?

Interestingly enough my rear brakes are already off the car, so I'm a few steps in and that's when I took the pictures. My hesitation are steps 7 - 11 (and maybe step 22) in the instructions below. The tierod separation, axle removal, and control arm removal. In fact step #9 doesn't detail...

What bushing is this on the rear of an 01' COBRA?

That was very helpful thank you that those are the rear 'Cross Axis Joints.' That job unfortunately looks like a bit much for me to get into after looking at the instructions, so I'd have to buy them and pay for a shop to install. It appears it's just the boots that are torn in my pic, and the...

What bushing is this on the rear of an 01' COBRA?

I have an 01' COBRA and these bushings on both sides on the rear of car look to be in pretty rough shape. Issue is I'm not exactly sure which bushing it is. This is above the brake rotor in what appears to me to be the upper control arm mounting to the hub/spindle, but I'm not sure. This bushing...

Intake Plenum Spacers for 99 / 01 Cobra & Mach One Mustang >>

I'm going to answer my own question. The answer is 'yes' it requires 2 plenum gaskets. It's Ford part # XR3Z-9E436-AC. I installed the spacer over this past winter with the Accufab TB, 90mm MAF from Ford Racing and a new tune. I'm pleased with the performance. No I didn't dyno so I don't have...

Intake Plenum Spacers for 99 / 01 Cobra & Mach One Mustang >>

@Modular Racing - I assume for the spacer you actually need 2 gaskets correct? 1 between the heads and the spacer, and 1 between the spacer and the plenum correct? That's what it looks like in your picture from the OP.

Question on requirements using bigger fuel injectors

Yeah so I was planning on the works based on the cam specs, requirements, and talking directly with Comp Cams on the specific one I was looking at (106400) http://www.compcams.com/Company/CC/cam-specs/Details.aspx?csid=960&sb=2 Per the requirements for the cam: So here's the current plan...
