Hotcobra, I disconnected the CCRM, both C133 & C1045, the MAF, IAT, both connectors under the air box, and pulled both fuses 2 and 8 for engine controls and tested pin 24 of CCRM to pin 34 of C133 and it beeped and showed continuity. Tested all other pins in C133 and C1045 and no other beeps or...

Dave, I tested the PCM connector and pins 3,25, and 51 all show good grounds. Pin 55 has 12v all times as it should.

Hotcobra when C133 is disconnected the fuse still blows, and when C1045 is disconnected the fuse also still blows. Not sure what to look at there. Jay when I put my power probe circuit tracer into the load side of F26 when the key is turned to run it beeps and shows short / grounded circuit.

Hotcobra with fuse 2 and 8 out the fuse still blows and the circuit tester still shows “short to ground”. It does not matter if both are out or just one it still shows short to ground and blows the fuse.

With the CCRM out and a new fuse installed the fuse does not blow if the key is turned to run and the circuit tester shows that it is an open circuit at that point.

Jay took the CCRM out and 8/10 are shorted together out of the car and are open to pin 24 once 12v is applied to 13 and ground to 18 the relay clicks and 8/10 then show closed to 24.

I will check all of the above when I get home, Dave are you referring to the noise supressors or a braided ground line? The things I unplugged looked like this.

I have both noise supressors unplugged and have verified they are not grounded out. I will check pin 55 of the PCM for voltage as well as checking ground on pins 3 & 25. I was under the impression that the PCM relay is in the CCRM when that is removed the fuse no longer blows and the power...

It is for sure the F26 PCM fuse and as mentioned before even with the suppressors unplugged it is still blowing indicating they are not the problem.

I have unplugged both noise suppressors in the fuse still blows immediately upon turning the key to on.

Sorry I made a mistake in my original post. It is the F1 26 fuse the 30 amp PCM not a 40.

They are radio interference suppressors . They have voltage running through them and cannot be grounded or they will blow a fuse. They can be purchased from ford or used the part number is f7lf-18801-ad. They prevent ignition noise from coming on the radio as an audible whine.
