Just an update, while the car was running I unplugged the wire for cylinder #4, the idle did not change 1 bit. I pulled the plug (which was covered in fuel) and verified it's getting good spark. So for some reason the cylinder is getting spark and gas, but no kaboom.
Hey guys, I've been working on this for the past couple months and have been talking with people on corral.net, but the issue is still happening and I feel like more eyes would be extremely beneficial.
The car is a manual swapped 4.3l (originally 3.8) 2000 v6 mustang.
The problems: Trying to...
Hey guys, I'm looking to swap a t56 into my 3.8 w/ irs. Basically, I need everything for a 5.0l swap (windsor) including the 03/04 cobra driveshaft.
I don't have an unlimited budget, I'm looking to spend under 2k for everything, i'll spend more on a good deal.
Hey guys, I just picked up a near complete irs, the only things i need are a new half shaft, a new drivers side wheel hub, and a Ford Performance diff cover.
Please let me know what you have and what you're willing to sell it for. Please keep in mind, this is a budget build.
I've been looking for info and/or pictures of a radiator tuck specifically on the new edge bodystyle. I'm getting rid of my condenser and with the mods I am planning to do in the upcoming year I need to push the radiator further forward to fit an aftermarket radiator.
Any info would be great!
With just the coilovers, not at all. The reason I need spacers is because I'm using 2015 mustang rims and without spacers part of the tire was rubbing on the coilover spring. With stock v6 and mach 1 rims, I never had any issues.
I'm not sure how much space is between the coilover sleeve and shock on the SR coilovers, but that's what I've been told and have read helps a lot with noise.
I used UPR coilovers w/ strange struts. I like the ride feel, but the coilovers make SO much noise. I need to put some toolbox liner between the strut and the coilover sleeve..
Just adding on to this, I tried fitting on 1/2" spacers and you definitely can not do that, 1/4" spacers work perfectly fine though.. I ended up ordering the ARP 2.5" extended wheel studs and will be installing them this weekend. I'll update you guys on how it works for me, but I'm not expecting...
I need to space out my current wheels since they are rubbing on my coilovers, I want to use 1/2" spacers (hub centric) but I'm not sure if I'll have enough threads leftover after.
Any input would be great!
Hey man, thanks for the reply.
The wheels are 18x8, they're the stock gt rims:
The tires on them are 235x50x18 but I do have the 00' cobra r steering rack with the stoppers already added, so I'm not concerned with rubbing when turning, but rubbing when just cruising. The car does have...
Do you guys think this could be related to the transmission or maybe a failing diff?
I'm on the stock trans as well as stock diff. Neither have ever been rebuilt to my knowledge.
If I'm right, it sounds like it could be a rocker arm. Those don't cost too much and should be an easy fix.
Hopefully it's not a rod knock..those suck.
So I tried plugging all of the leaks and that didn't seem to help at all. Do you think it could actually be the 02 sensor? I don't want to spend $40 to have it not help at all.
Any other ideas that I could try first?
