When I used to frequent the forums, I would see a Ford Representative on here all the time that would help resolve issues with dealerships etc.
Does anyone have the contact information for that Rep that was on here?
Appreciate it.
I just replaced my clutch and all 3 factory dowel pins were broken off in the flywheel. I punched them out and didn't use any dowel pins for my new Mach 500. 0 vibration, 0 chatter.
Okay, so to update this thread... the issue was, my slave cylinder literally had came apart into two pieces lol!
So now, after doing all the band-aids I have all these mods:
MGW X Spec (21% reduction throw is what I opted for), Divorced clutch reservoir, stainless steel braided clutch line, DOT...
Anyone ever made the swap? Ideally would like to grab a wrecked 05+ and pull all the suspension out and use it in the 68. Plan on coyote swapping it and the towers gotta go.
Just not sure about fitment.
If not, anyone have any other solutions?
Okay I have confirmed that it is the slave cylinder.
For anyone having this issue in the future where your transmission is progressively getting more notchy:
Take your car onto a flat surface, start it and put it in first gear, keep the clutch completely pressed in to the floor and rev. You...
Any way to adjust the stock slave cylinder? I have confirmed my slave cylinder is causing the clutch to not disengage all the way. The clutch and flywheel I want are currently backordered, so I am curious if there is a way to prolong it's life. It making shifts pretty tough. Changed the trans...
Going to pick up the amsoil fluids recommended by Ben Calimer tomorrow. Probably won't get to changing it tomorrow because I have to study for CDC test, but this week for sure. mcleod stainless clutch line and a divorced reservoir is also on the way.
2018 clutch has to wait, they are...
I don't smell any clutch. Occasionally it will act weird on take off, like a shutter. That's about it, and no slipping either.
Nothing really looks off in the video, but it is quite difficult to get it in to gear once started. It is impossible to get it in to gear at 7k rpm, going from 2nd-3rd...
So I took a couple vids. This one is of my shifting with car off vs car on. Not sure how well it translates to a video but it's drastically different.
Here is one of my wife pressing the clutch pedal while I hold the camera at the clutch/brake reservoir.
Just trying to verify it is indeed a...
How does the clutch really affect that though? If you're pressing the clutch pedal, the clutch isn't touching anything to give any resistance, so how would it affect notchiness of normal driving? I can see it being a problem with not fully engaging, but that sounds more like a fluid or TOB/Slave...
Here's the fluid is that bad? If so what's the easiest way to get all the fluid out when I change the reservoir and SS line? I just ordered a separate reservoir, and am about to order a ss McLeod clutch line. I guess I'll start looking in to getting an 18 twin disk oem clutch and slave...
So I'm having an issue getting the car in to gear under load. Even at around 6500rpm now.
I feel like it's an issue that's getting worse.
If the car is turned off, it shifts smoothly. But I just noticed that even leaving it turned on it is somehow harder to shift through the gears.
Does this...
True^
That's not the case here though. As mentioned above I took my 2014 with tune, mid pipe, basic bmr suspension setup and mgw shifter down the track on a Continental street tire and ran a 1.73 60ft at 7.65@92.
Took the same car with a Paxton on it on the same Continental street tire with a...
The redline of the 2018 is 7500. Alejandro was shifting it at that I believe and was talking how it shifted like butter. He has the video on his YouTube channel.
Is it going to end the era of overpriced aftermarket twin disk clutches for the mustang if it comes out at a decent price?
Alejandro Flores posted a video of driving with it and was saying it feels great.
If you look at the pricing of the 2017 factory clutch ($250) on tasca parts, it may end up...
