WANTED: OEM style clutch cable and LTH catless Midpipe

Appreciate it man. Mine is also a BBK off road midpipe. I'm pretty sure mine is at the manifold to header connection. There's a dent in the flange that I can't rule out as being the source. Everything else seems good to go.

WANTED: OEM style clutch cable and LTH catless Midpipe

Could use some help sourcing these parts. I believe my clutch cable is stretched and makes it difficult to engage first and reverse. Also my midpipe has a pretty annoying exhaust leak that I'm tired of listening to. Thanks for any help!

    Pridemore54's Cobra Build

That's a good point. It was weird to me how how it was just a straight up and down vibration in the steering wheel. Wasn't sure what to make of it. Yeah I wasn't sure if that stretched cable might somehow prevent me from tripping the switch. I need to do some research on those switches and take...

    Pridemore54's Cobra Build

Current/Winter to-do list: - I am suspecting my clutch cable is stretched and needs replaced. The firewall adjuster and quadrant still aren't doing the trick for my first and reverse gear struggles. I'm also gonna replace tranny fluid soon to see if it helps. The adjuster install was a whole...

    Pridemore54's Cobra Build

I've been slacking and am a few months behind on updates. I found that one of my top Metco idler pullies had developed slop in the bearing and was likely not helping things with the belt issue. I ended up getting a new 100mm double-bearing pulley as well as the Metco Tensioner Plate. It has...

2-step doesn't work most of the time

    I like that idea

2-step doesn't work most of the time

Roger that, I've got blue loctite and vibratite on hand so I might try one of those.

2-step doesn't work most of the time

The context of your reply tells me these are known for going bad..

2-step doesn't work most of the time

So my cobra had the MSD 2-step device installed before I bought it. Since I've owned it I've only gotten it to work twice. I've taken out the module a couple times to adjust the dials and it kind of seems like the dials have been rotating on their own in-between the set points (from engine...

    Clutch quadrant/firewall adjustment- UPR gripe

I tried putting it on the second hook, there wasn't enough room. It was too tight on the cable to get it back on the clutch fork fingers. I had to go under and take the inspection plate off in order to detach it, attach it on the first quadrant hook, then it only took a little prying to...

    Clutch quadrant/firewall adjustment- UPR gripe

I thought it also did when it's barely touching or as it engages when it's too loose When I grab it and pull it's already taught, no gap

    Clutch quadrant/firewall adjustment- UPR gripe

I could use a sanity check here. Just spent today install the UPR firewall adjuster and clutch quadrant. Nothing went well and it didn't fix my issue so far. So my first and reverse don't want to go into gear easily. Goes fine when the car is off. So tell tale sign I needed the new setup. I...

Good books for tuning, and building/repairing mod engines?

Which one, the Workbench one by George Reid?

Good books for tuning, and building/repairing mod engines?

Need reading material to help kill time between work evolutions. It's a unique job. I mention no electronics to avoid people sending links or articles on the internet.

Good books for tuning, and building/repairing mod engines?

Need some reading material for work (can't have electronics in my lab) and would like to start learning in depth about tuning and engine building, primarily for the 4.6L 4v. Any highly recommended stuff out there? I found this on Amazon but always want to hear community consensus on this stuff...

    Pridemore54's Cobra Build

Yeah I feel you there. I'm very thankful not to be having alternator issues and I'm glad I'm not outright shredding the belts, leaving me stranded. After ~500 miles the first fray appears and it starts to squeak on up revs for downshifts.

    Pridemore54's Cobra Build

Yup, my gates alignment tool just came in. The new gates green belt I bought off Amazon came with a 3 year warranty for 3 dollars. So whenever I fray this one, I'm gonna take it off and send it in for a free replacement, and while I'm waiting on the new belt I'll figure out which pulley is...

    Pridemore54's Cobra Build

Update: Over the weekend I installed an O/R X pipe from BBK that came with the car and a brand new set of Borla Stingers. It sounds really good, however I can't lie those Borla ATAK'S with high flow cats were perfect sounding. Didn't want to keep the cats myself though so off they went, plus...

    Is this O/R X-pipe salvagable?

The adjustable wrench and heat did end up working. Took the car for a test drive and the exhaust tick is about 90% better, there's still a little something somewhere. I think at the X pipe to drivers side header connection. At some point I may look into having a shop cut the flanges off to...

    Is this O/R X-pipe salvagable?

I was thinking the same thing but wasn't sure. I'll have to load it up and see what they say

    Is this O/R X-pipe salvagable?

Went to install this BBK O/R x-pipe that came with the car (current midpipe is a BBK with "high flow" cats welded in) and noticed it has almost the exact same dent as the one on the car that's causing a super annoying exhaust tick. What's the chances this is fixable and how so? All I can think...

First and Reverse difficult to engage from stand still

Placed an order for the Maximum Motorsports stuff but got an update from them that there's now a backorder for at least a few weeks if not longer. Gonna cancel that and probably go with the UPR stuff. Gives me a reason to throw some business Beefcake's way for hooking me up with a deal on my...

First and Reverse difficult to engage from stand still

Just checked since McLeod has a good reputation for quality as far as I know. However, as an avid firearms enthusiast.. idk if I can get over the red anodizing. Red ano parts are virtually always cheaply made parts and it'll bother me every time I look at it lmao. Hopefully the MM one is as...
