Anyone know where the best place to find rear bumpers is? I've had no luck with fb marketplace, ebay, etc. I'd maybe be interested in a quality aftermarket alternative, if anyone has had luck with that...
Super informative thread. I have an 04 cobra that I almost can't justify driving anymore, since moving to SC. The roads in this state are probably worse than most third world countries. Every drive is white knuckle in the cobra, and not because I'm hitting the gas....
I've loved the 350's...
Thanks for the suggestions all.
@1kona-- I need my front/rear tie rods replaced (have mm ones ready to install), rack bushings replaced/upgraded, and I have some whine coming from a pulley in the accessories loop, so want to get all those replaced
Just moved to Greenville SC from Orlando. Crazy thing is I can't even get my cobra out of the driveway at the house I'm renting. Rolled curb is a little too high, while the driveway takes a steep decline, and my car is just too low to make.
Anyway, I have some stuff that needs to be done...
I'm sure a cobra or two have made it to that track, but who knows. Seeing any late model mustangs around Germany (or Europe) is rare. Seeing a Terminator on the Ring would be akin to a Bigfoot sighting...
nobody will notice or care much about a c5 zo6. The Terminator, however, commands attention.
went to a muscle car meet this weekend and had to give rides to 3 separate people. Nobody seemed to notice the other nice cars in that parking lot... lol
That's some nice low mileage. Personally, i'd look at getting around 27-28k for the car, but the ACTUAL sale prices on these cobras seem to vary a lot when factoring in potential buyers. Hopefully, you'll find someone who's looking for that color, with those mods, and has the available $$$ flow...
had no idea ocala did a half mile event. I would have checked it out.
Makes sense now that I raced a guy in a camaro last week who said he raced 1/2mi. I actually pulled on him in 2nd gear, even though he said he was @ 1k hp. Figured he couldn't get traction at that speed, cause his car...
At the very least, it makes cleaning it the next few times a little easier. Hate driving after making mine shine, but these days I do a couple coats of that McGuires quick wax spray, which turns out ok for the time invested...
I have the Continental Extreme Contact DW's (Very similar.) They're a good tire.
Things I like:
- Tread wear is holding up well after 3k miles.
- Does well in wet conditions. I avoid rain, however it's impossible at times to not get caught in a summer storm in Florida every now and then.
- Good...
I have a small chip in the resin on my VIS Cobra R style carbon fiber hood that i'm going to DIY repair. I've never repaired anything carbon fiber, so any pointers are helpful.
I was going to tackle it like I would a paint chip. Basically my thought was to sand down the chipped area and a small...
Also, this car definitely has a "mythical" status that may even exceed reality.
go on YouTube, look up racing videos, and see how many times "terminator" is mentioned in the comments section. Many times, a terminator isn't even racing in the video. That's the status this car holds in the...
exactly. I get kids in their teens and early 20's who know what this car is ask about it. I imagine the same can't be said for most late 90's to early 2000's year model performance cars
Probably sent to a northern state, or more likely alaska. Typically in alaska, you'll see a block, oil pan, and battery heater. I only know because I was stationed there for a few years. The battery and oil pan would be easier to remove so maybe that's why you only see the block heater...
