I have a sneaky suspicion that Lund originally tuned my car, and I purchased it without the matching SCT or whatever tuning device included. I believe my issues are due to Lund encrypting the entire PCM as I’ve seen is a common practice.
I left the existing VIN in place. Wondering if I should update it to a 2014 VIN when flashing the PCM.
Also have a VMP tune on standby once I can get the PCM properly flashed….
Any thoughts?
It’s not all that bad honestly. Only snag I’ve hit so far is flashing the pcm….so I have a working cluster but I can’t get track apps to work without flashing the pcm.
Anyone have issues getting the PCM to flash from the 2011/2012 version to the 13/14 version?
I’m able to get through all of the steps in the first post but I keep getting a final message that says that the module is already at the latest version. When I log out of IDS and then log back in, it...
What a steal! Had my ‘12 TR6060 rebuilt by rockland standard gear in Sloatsburg, NY (look them up…they build a lot of transmissions for the ford professional racing teams) for $2700 and had everything upgraded to the 2014 transmission parts.
If I didn’t have mine rebuilt I would snatch this up...
Not sure if you saw my post, a couple from the bottom of page 14…if you can source a tail light harness from an 11-12 mustang, all of the pins are present in that. The two that go into the new direction pad switch on the left side of the steering wheel at slightly longer (I’m talking like a half...
After digging and digging and digging some more I bit the bullet and purchased the 2 or 3 day ids software rental. Cheaper than towing the car to a dealership and then paying the diagnostic fee and shop labor hour cost.
Using the Bosch VCI vcm2 management software with my cloned device and...
Late to answer you on this one, but Bosch's website had the ford VCMII software:
https://www.boschdiagnostics.com/software-updates/software-ford-vcm-ii
The link is on the right side. I have a cloned VCMII module and the software immediately recognized the device without issues.
For anyone looking to tackle this, a (only one) tail light wiring harness from a 2011-2012 gt500 will have all of the pins needed to complete the wiring side..very simple actually.
The only ones that need a little "coaxing" were the two pins that go into the new steering wheel direction pad...
Looking for a lightly used or new set of 13-14 OE gt500 quad tip axlebacks. Maybe original take offs that were upgraded to aftermarket (?).
Cash ready to be sent. Thanks.
Lol @ “and the option I’ll ultimately take”. Usually I'm in your frame of mind (if there’s a will, there’s a way) but the fact that they can’t program a cobra emblem in place of a running mustang on the older gauge clusters makes me think it’s a bigger feat than what it’s worth.
